If this happens, it's either Bynum or Frye, but either way, we'll have the worst backcourts in NBA history this coming season.

1- Isiah is prolly done with Houston
2- Isiah probably has a trade for either Marbury or Crawford in mind, b/c Q and Craw and Marbury command a lot of playing time. Also, we still need to improve the backcourt defense.

marbury and Q will start
craw will be 6th man

none of them will be traded.

we lose our best big man BUT Q is a heck of a scorer and a sufficient 2 guard that can play with marbury. he's strong and can post up other 2 guards as well. another player that doesn't care about defense tho.

While we have a lot of options having Q, Marbury, and Crawford in the backcourt, i would think as of right now IT's plan would be to have Qrich as our starting SF and move Tim Thomas, possibly along with Sweetney to get someone in the mold of Boozer or Brand. That wouldn't be a bad move at all. QRich has a SF body at 230lbs, and can post up a little bit. We're not quite as big, but we'll be tougher, quicker, younger, and more skilled.

if this trade goes down and we get Q, and then he follows that up with a tim/sweetney/#8 for boozer/#6 deal, and drafts bynum, then isiah gets an A+++++ b/c all those moves make sense and gives us an identity - high scoring backcourt with a big brusing front line.

dido will definitely be torn - on one side, the man that slept with his wife and impregnated his daughter, kurt thomas, is finally gone BUT on the other side, the played coming back is not 6'10 or above. :)

I doubt there is a pick coming Knicks, I'd still say Q is the better overall player.
While it wouldn't have been my first choice, if this trade goes down, I can support it. Of course to do so, I have to keep telling myself there will be more trades coming (scary, I know). If the trade goes down, it would lead me to believe Tim is on his way out the door very shortly. We can play Q at the 3 and still nab a C with the expiring contract.

I'm still having trouble actually believing that it did/will happen, but if it does, I guess we can officially say good bye to any hopes of a gritty defensive team. It was a long shot, yeah, but I was hoping to get something featuring players like Ariza, JYD, and Rose.
