Atlanta needs a PG, they have temendous cap room, we wont have to take anyone back, but Id be willing to take that Serbian piece of junk off their hands if they wanted and we get Marvin Williams. They do indeed have several F types. They get back essentially a high caliber 6-5 PG and a lottery pick. We get someone that is a no-brainer.

I think Marvin will be good but not good enough to give up on our key developing 6th man and Granger or Wright. Not for a SF/PF in the Jamison mold. Not worth it. now if we had a chance at Bogut I'd do it in a heartbeat!

A lot of draft boards have the Bucks actually taking Williams and not Bogut, so if this were the case, I would absolutely trade for the #2 pick.

Hrm... Well, if it's Atlanta we're talking about, how dumping off Marbury instead?... he has his GA Tech connections... and would be loved in Atlanta.

Only for Bogut.

If it's Marbury, I don't wanna give up pick 8 then. Maybe 30, but certainly not 8.

i'd do it, whether it was bogut or williams. atl wouldnt take marbs, doesnt fit their plans. btw allanfan, i dount know how you could equate marbs and a 2nd round pick with a 1st or 2nd pick in the draft. i doubt any team would take that trade.

The question is, will Marvin Williams be better than Crawford AND Frye, Wright, Granger, Graham, etc? I don't know, but I don't think so. I think Crawford WILL be a star, and our #8 may be a star but will at least be a good player; so I wouldn't do it, unless Bogut slipped to the #2, then I'd do it.

I'm not interested in any trades that cost us multiple assets with only one asset in return. I don't think Marvin Williams is a no brainer. If Bogut fell, sure I'd do that trade, but no way does Milwaukee pass on Bogut.

We're not one piece away. We need to rebuild an entire foundation. Marvin Williams is not a franchise player, so I don't think that trade is worth it. Though, I probably have a higher opinion of Crawford than most here.

Nope. Believe it or not I think that is too much for Marvin Williams. Now if you tell me just Crawford and we take back salary to get that pick then yeah. I personally think Crawford has the makings to be a real all-star type player, maybe not with the Knicks but I can see in a few years this guy being something special. As you said before Briggs, Marvins Williams could be special but who knows. Tim Thomas in mind opinion was a better prospect as a freshman than Williams.

They would absolutely love that trade. And you can be for sure that he would be. You go to Hawk games and you see more Marbury jerseys than you do Hawk jerseys.

What do you mean? Marbury is the type of player the Hawks would kill for. Marbury is already a crowd favorite.

2-1 means sht. This team should be built back up with big physical athletes who play both sides of the ball with tenacity. Channing Frye and Jamal Crawford are fancy pants finese players, that doesnt win in the nBA--it can look pretty, but you wont accomplish the bottom line.

I guess my whole perspective is I think that the core team is a POS and Im not happy with just throwing some pieces over it.

Even if they cant do something like this, go get me Boozer and Granger if they dont want to take HS guys. Go get me physical tough athletes--

If they can do Sweetney Thomas+8 for Boozer Bell and 6, go do it. Atleast I know with Boozer Granger and Bell that i would be getting back tough physical athletes who can really play.

then back it up with a Jamal Crawford and pick 30 to Denver for Nene and pick 20 and take Bynum there. Denver is in the hunt for a SG and they can refill their back up PF position with pick 22

that would add

7-2 280 Bynum
6-11 260 Nene
6-9 270 Boozer
6-8 225 Granger
6-5 210 Bell

thats a shake up.

Sorry that team would be brutual to watch. More than half those guys would be on the bench in foul trouble or on the bench with their 6th fouls already. I don't see a serious scoring option on that team (we still have to score don't we). I hope Bynum will be able to put 38 ppg and knock down a consistent outside jumper because he will have to on that team.

I agree for some reason I feel crawford will have one of those hellacious breakout seasons, I just hope it is in a knicks uniform. This guy has all the tools to be a superb scorer and assist man, it is the knicks job to utilize those skills....

I like Crawford, but this could be a good trade for both teams.

One problem is we have to fill the hole in the back court- we have one there with Crawford and would be twice as large without.

Bogut might go 2nd

I think you are missing the point.......We get rid of Crawford who is not really going to fit the mold we are looking for, and we go ahead and send pick two over to charlote if atlanta would be stupid enough to do the deal and use pick 5 and 13, and still have pick 30......

Wow! great idea! now we're talking! I'd give up Marbury or Jamal in a Heartbeat for picks 5 & 13 in this draft!
