That is scary

Bynum didn't attend Chicago (not even to get measured), so there is no official measurement on him.

before this I liked Diogu. Now I love him. He and Ariza are the long tough athletic 3/4 combo I want to start building my team around. Add Eddie Basden at 30 we go with that for now.

Crawford
Basden
Ariza
Diogu

fill in the rest. That would be my team if the draft is tomorrow.

The comparison everyone seems to have for Martell is Glen Rice. He seems a bit shorter, but possibly a little more athletic then Glen. But if he's the same type of shooter, and can use his strong frame to post up like Glen did we're talking about scoring title contender here. I'd love to be able to draft someone capable of being a real no.1 scoring option.

I think Frye is much more 4 than 5, I dont see anything that changes my mind. He went to that Grover deal to get jacked up and gain weight through high caloric intake and supplements and he weighed in at 243, and hes a full 4 year guy. Just what did he weigh before Grover is the question? 230-235?
Hes long, but my fear is his base strength. I still see himhaving MIGHTY big problems holding position against BIG players or tough players. Let say he he loses a little weight back to the 236 mark or so after the litle juicing period is done. at 6-10 1/2 a guy like Ben Wallace is going to be able to move him ANYWHERE he wants. and thats where the tweener status comes in. I can see him being effective in a KT role, but bly me, when it comes to the D watch out.

Frye/Webster/Granger/Graham/McCants/Taft/Blatche/Bynum/Diogu/Warrick/J.Jack/Petro

Stealing 3 players out of that list is a success. I would try either a Crawford to Orlando for pick 11 and change or a KT to Minnesota for pick 14 and change. With two lottery picks, atleast you put your scouts in a position to make an impact and pick the best prospects.

Hypothetically, with pick 8, 11 and 30, you can make a splash if you pick wisely. That may be Frye, Granger and Blatche. Or Webster, Taft, Bynum. The batting order, so to speak, is up to the scouting.

This draft doesn't have the surefire superstars, but its deep like a Dr. Phil special.

Frye, Channing 6' 9½" 6' 10½

That is scary
Why? All players are measured with shoes on. He's basically between 6'10" and 6'11"; he definitely has the height and length to be an NBA center. If he can stay in the mid 240s, he'd have enough strength to be a C too

your weight doesn't determine your strength. look at boykins for instance. If you saw Frye play you would see that he doesn't have very good strength. Whereas a guy like Camby has better length, athletic ability and strength and as far as offensively goes, we don't need 2 KTs in the starting lineup

You're somewhat right; muscle mass determines strenghth. On average, the more you weigh, the stronger you'll be. That's why people say Crawford needs to gain weight, when they really mean that he needs to gain muscle mass (a more specific type of weight)

true. by adding muscle you're gaining weight and strength i guess. but IMO bigs who are really good have great natural strength

David Robinson is a pefect example of the muscle mass ideology..His arms are huge, but his lower body had to be developed. Frye will be ok, especially if he has the discipline to work on strengthen the things that are necessary..
