With our win and the Toronto loss I think the Raps moved ahead of us in the lottery. We pretty much lost the 7th spot to Toronto assuming GS wins and we don't benefit from some funky 3 team tiebreak.

If you look at the Toronto box scores, the last 3 games they played some of their young guys more. Omar Cook got alot of PT.

Isiah, Knicks...get a freaking clue. This entire year was pitifull. I don't expect anything better next year either. Adding one or two rookies is not getting this team to the right side of respectable.

I don't know if I can take another year of this.

This draft is deep, very deep, two good first round picks can help us in the long run, I am not expecting much next year, 42 wins would be fantastic, I think we can get there, but as long as we keep adding talent, starting with this draft, we can be a force in a couple of years, if we are lucky...

What? I thought we had it secure with last night's loss along with Toronto winning. Is it really, really true that we went down to 8th?!

I think we finished tied with Toronto and they have the two-way tie breaker (meaning we'd get the better pick). I'm not sure how the 3-way tie breaker would work.

We have to root for the Warriors to beat the awful Jazz tonight. If they Warriors win, we have the 7th spot. If they lose, we could be anywhere from 7 to 9 depending on how the 3-way tie breaker goes.

I guess we have the 7th spot then!

56-34 Golden State at halftime!

WOW that was close! can't believe we actually played the vets to win again tonight! when every other non playoff team plays the whole roster down the stretch!

I think we win the tiebreaker with Toronto because they won the season series 3-1.

So, yeah, if GSW wins tonight we should get the 7 pick.

I still can't believe we didn't get to see Jackie Butler play a single, solitary 5 minute stretch.

The best kept secret. I wonder if he is really that good of a prospect to hide so much...

After all the back handed remarks about Layden that Isiah made(which he deserved)he hasnt shown that he is any better. We may have more talent on paper but that dont mean squat.

I have a very bad feeling that Isiah, like Layden is going to trade the pick for complete garbage or an overpriced veteran at best.Up until the Rose/Taylor trade I was with him because he had a plan.It may not have gone the way he wanted but for the most part I agreed with him until he went into panic mode and added deadweight with longer contracts.

Then to add insult to injury,he did what practically no other team in the NBA would dream of,trying to win games and push the Knicks further down the draft after being eliminated from the playoffs. This was his only accomplishment this season as far as Im concerned.

Now he knows he has to make a big splash to fool Dolan(which isnt too hard) into thinking that he is making progress.Drafting a prospect unless its someone like Bogut or Green wont do it.Of course I would love to be wrong about this and will happily admit it if its thats the case.

Isiah will probably interview Jackson and Jax will play nice but I get the feeling he is going to go to Dolan through back channels and say to the effect "Well Id love to coach the Knicks but it would be hard for me to do it without the freedom to build the kind of team I want without some sort of control" Translation: Make me Head coach and GM.You know what? I hope he gives Jackson whatever he wants.

Many of us have been loyal fans for decades, some not as long but just as loyal and passionate.I cant speak for them but this offseason
better be good or its more than likely I wont follow this team until there is new ownership.Life is too short to be wasting it on a team like this.I wont become a fan of another team though.

I dont regret giving Isiah the benefit of the doubt. Its easy to brand him a failure and not support him from day one and secretly hope he fails to prove your point but what kind of a fan is that?

To quote a line from a movie "Every passing minute is another chance to turn it all around".I happen to agree with that but as far as Im concerned, they are running out of time.

GS+25 so they are going to win. are we sure that its not a flip of the coin for the spot? we did lose 3-1 and thats a primary tie breaker H-H for the playoffs, but is it rue for draft positioning?

Andrew posted something the other day from ESPN.com saying the first tiebreaker was head to head record, then conference, then division, then coin flip if all else was tied.

yup. But if GSW loses tonight, I believe they are the seven seed (their conference record is worse than ours and we split the head to head). they're up by 17 with 14 minutes left, but stranger things have happened this season to the Knicks...

GS+20 with 9 change left, they will win. but im still not convinced about this tie breaker for the draft--does anyone have a link that shows the tie breaker--the entir toronto board is positive that it is only a coin flip, that the head-head stuff is for playoff seedings not draft scenarios. i have no idea myself.

GSW is only up by 13 with 9:25 to go. Matt Harpring has scored 6pts in the last 30 seconds.
