the brilliant NY management wont put steph on IR, yet his body is falling apart. remember isiah thomas went shot himself at 31-32, he was done. they better shut marbury down and plan for him to go back to 35 minutes next year

he has played non-stop because of the olympics, these idiots need to shut him down.

unreal. 38 minutes last night? Not only do we trade for lousy players but the good ones we have we ruin. When you se how Marbury plays this isnt a suprise.. add the Olympics to that and he's played a ton of BB. He needs rest.

It may just be a mistake but next to Marbury's name in the ESPN boxscore where usually there would be the 'PG' designation is has 'IR'.

Maybe they know something we don't?

Shut it down already! Isiah can give this mandate!

Its a joke already. I know we have a responsabilty to put the best team out there as other teams are playing for real reasons, and its not fair to just roll over, but we gave it our best show, and we are getting shelled anyway.

Amazing how we were in first place and have fallen so hard since the proclamation game.. That is when Marbs self annointed himself the point of points. It has nothing to do with that by the way, just a bookmark statement that coincided with the slide.

Lets make sure we all watch the games on TV, or see the kids in person so we support the rebuilding movment!

Personally, I think that Herb is to be blamed. He wants to win so bad to earn a freaking contract, he doesn't care about who he hurts in the process. Fire Herb...

After last night, I am sick of this Knick team. They really suck.

that is really weird! I cannot believe it. Did we miss something? Are there any stories that Steph is going to the IR?

It is totally his call. Didn't you see the interviews from the post game. To his credit Isiah has stayed out of Herb's way as far as coaching this team and playing time, like he said he will do back in Jan. At this point, you are right, Herb couldn't give a damn about these guys and their health. Herb should take a lesson from Art Howe, about how to handle these type of situations.

I really hope Steph doesn't play tonight. The last thing he needs is to play another 40 minutes in Game 2 of a back to back! The season has been over for a while, Zeke, it's time to give Marbs a rest! You know if Marbury is in uniform, he's going to play his ass off for however many minutes he can stay on the floor, it's time to take the decision out of Marbury's hands. That's what leadership is, Isiah.

Wrong, that is what leadership is Herb Williams....He is our General on the court, he makes the call when it comes to rotation. Isiah can ask of him to shut Marb down, but the final call is Herb. He (Herb) is being selfish at this point in my opinion.

if they dont shut down marbury, and he really gets hurt, good-bye to next season and all the money we have spent. good bye to all of those season tickets, as is, now we have to deal with TT and possible problems, which may include surgey, which means hes OURS. but for goodness sakes, if starbury play another minute this season, there wil be nothing left to be said. We will officially know isiah is stupid.

just what we needed another Allan Houston situation! another guy making $20mila year while sitting on the bench all season in street cloths!

...at least Herb hinted that everyone's banged up so they're going to limit their minutes. I'm assuming he meant steph, TT & KT hopefully which hopefully means more sweetney, ariza, butler not rose, taylor!

I'm sorry, but that's ridiculous. If you think that Herb can overrule Isiah, that's insane. I agree that as long as Herb has Marbs, he'll run him into the ground. Isiah has to be the voice of reason for the franchise and shut Marbs down. Of course Herb is fighting for his job, and in my opinion he's in an unfair situation, but Isiah needs to be the voice of reason.

Of course, he's in Europe or Portsmouth right now.

On another note, Marbs is friggin incredible to play how he's playing with a banged up knee!! That is phenomenal to me. How would he be playing with some rest?

He's a warrior who gets no credit. That happens in NY.

THe team that he's the leader of went straight into the toilet this season. He deserves some critical spotlight for that.

I just wish Stephon would get some credit for once. All the media ever does is bash him all the while the guy ALWAYS plays hurt, never lets the media and fans know he's playing with injuries yet people just take shots at him. I know that its part of his job but when you look at guys around the league who regularly sit out with injuries that Marbury plays hard through every game of the year. Give the guy a break and shut him down for the love of god.
