I really can't stand Scalabrine. I wanted a Knick to knock him totally on his ass last night. He made a faggy little alley oop to Carter then pranced around like he was Will Ferrell in "Elf."

get more guys like JYD, who was practically the ONLY guy showing any semblence of heart tonight.

the Nets were totally embarassing these guys & the only guy who decided to make a statement was JYD, both w/the hard pick on Kidd & on the hard foul on Vince as he tried to penetrate for the dunk when the game was well in hand for the Nets late...i would rather have a team full of JYD's than this current disgraceful collection of gutless pukes anyday.

sorry for my venting, but everytime the Knicks get so utterly embarassed by the Nets & i have to see those jackoffs laughing & smiling while their teammates are dunking all over the Knicks at will, i feel like punching a hole through my wall.

in the end, i'm happy they lost tonight because we're chasing the lottery pick, but it still ticks me off to see these guys play w/no emotion (except for that short run they had in the 4th quarter that was spurred on by JYD & Crawford)

When asked if he still gets fired up to play the Knicks, Kidd said, "I did when I first got here, but it doesn't excite me anymore."

Kidd, who had 28 points, 10 rebounds and 12 assists for is seventh triple-double of the season and 28th in four seasons with the Nets, was asked why.

"It's just another bad team, that's why," Kidd said. "I don't get excited for bad teams."

The Knicks (29-45) lost their eighth straight game, a season high, and are one defeat or one Philadelphia victory from being eliminated from playoff contention.

Including last season's first-round playoff sweep, the Nets are 8-2 against the Knicks since they acquired Marbury from Phoenix on Jan. 5, 2004. The Nets are 3-1 against the Knicks this season and 3-0 since Marbury made his remarks.

When asked if he felt satisfied with the Nets' performance, Kidd, who tied a season high with 28 points, said: "No. It's just New York. Why would we be satisfied with beating New York? We've done it 19 or 20 times now."

Referring to the Knicks' status in the metropolitan area, Kidd said: "They're second place. They're behind us. So get excited? No."

wow...that is really just showing no semblence of class whatsoever...i mean you dominated the team, why go to the extent of bashing them like that?

Marbury got alot of flack for his "best PG in the NBA" proclamation, but it will be interesting to see if Jason Kidd gets any flack for this...my gut feeling is the Knicks won't do jack about it...

Steph's statement was dumb...but those comments make Kidd out to look like an immature punk to me...you'd never catch Jordan, Lebron, Ewing, Duncan, Malone, Iverson or any of the other greats of the game lowering themselves to that level...my guess is Kidd has a deep personal vendetta against someone on the Knicks team, or maybe he wanted to send a message to Marbury? who knows...all i know is this Knick team is going to brush that off just like they do everytime someone disrespects them...they've made it a habit...it sickens me, it really does.

man, if we could only bring Oakley back in his heyday...Jason Kidd would never make a statement like that, i don't care if they beat this Knicks team 20 times in a row.

just to add, that pick that JYD set on Jason was nothing Kidd wouldn't have done himself on any other player...i didn't find anything dirty about it for him to get pissed off at JYD...maybe his comments after the game were because he was pissed at JYD for the hard foul on Vince? regardless, those 2 were former teammates & they might have had prior issues, who knows...Vince sure didn't seem to react badly to it.

to me, Kidd's reaction to JYD was just arrogant, like "who the hell are you to set a pick on me?"...i mean come on dude, it's called competing...a guy like JYD never stops playing no matter what the score is...Kidd should appreciate that & not be a punk about it...same thing happened w/Frank Williams last year...maybe Kidd should win some titles before he starts acting like he's Michael Jordan.

Kidd is an arrogant SOB, as was jordan, mourning, Ewing,etc. These guys will abuse you if they don't respect you!

Guys like gazy will help you up and laugh if he knocks you down.

Riles used to fine any KNick who helps another player up.

Kidd is not a good sport, but he is the top PG for a reason.

karma? i don't recall King, Cartwright, Ewing, Oakley, Starks, LJ, Houston, Camby, Spree or anyone else that played on the Knicks in the past several years disrespecting the Nets in that fashion, even when the Nets were a crappy team...& Jason Kidd knows nothing about the Nets being disrespected because they've been good ever since he's gotten there, so it can't be a result of him taking abuse at the hands of the Knicks over the years...it's just Jason Kidd being a punk, plain & simple...i don't care if he thinks the Knicks are garbage, for him to air it out in the media like that was, while completely true, still totally uncalled for...

again, if we had a guy like Charles Oakley on this team, Kidd would never have said something like that, i don't care how much they've dominated the Knicks over the past couple years.

If you're going to dish it out, you'd better be able to take it. It was ok when Tim Thomas and Marbury were calling out Kenyon Martin, Collins and Kidd? Those Knicks started it and now Kidd is shoving it right back in their underachieving faces.

The nets are not a good team, but they are one that is doing a very fast rebuild for obvious reasons.

But what is impressive, they are playing and thinking they are in fact a GOOD team! They will add some pieces and be much better next year. They don't have to change the culture and thinking of the team.

We are a good team that does not think that way! I don't know all the problems of the team, but I admire the Nets for that moxie. They are playing with a purpose. They never had that team whole all year. First if was Just Jefferson, then kidd, and eventually Vince. Vince and Jeff I think only played a game or two.

What have the knicks earned to garner the Nets respect? It aint' about having an enforcer around, its about winning and confidence!

YOu thing Kidd was not pumped when he heard Marbs say he was the best?

When the knicks have any shred of self esteem and start being confident, they will have self respect, and then and only then could anyone respect them!

YOu think teams don't want to just kill a team who makes the most amount of money? Remember those kids in High school that thought they were better cuz their parents were rich? They got no props unless they actually did somthing!

Our back court is over the cap by itself! While players don't begrudge the money, but im sure they enjoy beating on the knicks!

Yeha Right, maybe in numbers these past couple of season, but the history of New York never fades and neither do the real fans.

That comment doesn't sound like it was from someone who didn't take any satisfaction from it to rub it in like that. Its very childish. A simple 'not the way it used to' would have done it. A lot of our new guys didn't know what the whole rivalry was about but they do now and I expect everyone to step it up next season in hopefully dish another couple of the last celtic style blowouts. And if the nets do make it to the playoffs, I hope flash & shaq-man wipe the floor with the nets, or at least just jason A.k.a. wifebeater kidd. Yes, net fans, I went there.
