personally i think he would pick williams, i would pick bogut and i think he would seriously look to trade it, i would say 40/60

he'd get Bogut, he wouldn't use the #1 overall on Marvin. Unless he got an unbelievable offer he'd stay and pick Bogut and not trade down.

i think isiah would take bogut.

he traded nazr and is playing kurt out of position. there's nobody else out there we can even remotely try to bring in without relying and hoping on a sign and trade. so i think he takes bogut.

as nY fans, I think we would have to put pressure on so we make sure he takes him, i live with a collective mistake by all fans, but not one mans decision. believe me, if we do get that pick, will get an allegiance of season ticketholders to make sure this happens.

he should take Bogut...no if's and's or but's...but i'm sure he would trade the pick if he could land himself a proven elite player.

No doubt I would take Bogut. Even if Bogut doesn't end up being as good as everyone hopes he will, he's still a gamechanging center in college who has all the skills and potential to be. It's something you can't pass up.

If the Knicks get th enumber one overall pick would they play him? I still don't think the KNicks think they are a bad team and next year would probably start and stick with KT at center.

But the Knicks if the get the number one should take Bogut, the man has fire in his belly.

I was looking at the draft today at work, and here is what I was thinking.

Looking at the board, NO will most likely have the 3rd pick.

Hawks the 1st, and Bobcats the 2nd. Hawks will no dout take Bogut, but the Bobcats will most likley take a PG, whiever one they like more, Paul, Williams, Felton, whatever. So that means baby Sabonis drops to 3.

Now NO really does not need a C. They need a SF the worst, or maybe a PG. The best SF can be had at 8, Green, and so can Felton for example.

It would make sense for them to trade down from 3 to 8.

So I would offer them Sweetney, KT, both our 1st round picks for the 3rd Pick and PJ Brown.

The only reason we are taking Brown is to make the salaries work, and KT is a better version of him anyways. They get the player then want out of the lottery, a promising prospect at PF which they have none, a seasoned vet, and a late 1st round pick, all for giving up PJ Brown essentially. I think it makes sense for them.

We get the center, clear the glut at PF, and get a guy who is actually a capabale backup C at 6 11 if older, in Brown.

What do you guys think?
A glimmer of hope maybe?!?

It depends on how these guys play in workouts. If you love what you see from Bogut or Williams or someone else, you draft that player. It wouldn't surprise me if Isiah tried to pull of a huge trade, though if he got the #1 pick. (Something like the #1 pick and TT to the Clippers, the Clippers' lottery pick and the Knicks' two late 1st rd picks over the next two years plus Sweetney to the Pacers, Elton Brand and Ron Artest to the Knicks.) Then you obviously make some other lateral moves to clear up the PF spot a bit.

I like the idea. What players would you be looking at with the #3 pick?

let me get this straight...you were just on the other thread saying you would not trade Stephon Marbury for the #1 overall pick, yet you think the Knicks could possibly get Elton Brand & Ron Artest for Tim Thomas, Mike Sweetney, a probable #7 overall pick, & 2 late 1st rounders? aren't you being a bit inconsistent in your logic here Bonn?

I thought the topic of this thread was if we got the #1 pick! Where are you getting this #7 pick idea from?

It's normally not worth the time to respond to someone when they resort to childish insults like saying someone's on crack, but I'm bored and not tired enough to go to sleep.

Re-read the bold part. You left out the most attractive part of the deal for the Pacers--getting a mid lottery pick.

It also goes without saying (or at least I thought it did since you all know my views about payroll) that we could take back a bad contract from the Pacers.

I'm sure you were so offended too, ya crackhead.

I would draft Bogut. I have no clue if Bogut is even in Isiah's radar. I get the feeling he may either draft a Euro, or would get stupid and draft Warrick b/c he likes the athleticism. I don't think he will trade the pick, b/c he knows the fans would start calling for his head, which as we know it, would be the beginning of the end for him. That is unless, he got someone reeeeeeeeeeeal worth it.

I usually don't respond to you at all, because I feel you know absolutley nothing about basketball and just re-chipher information you see here and elsewhere into your own postings, otherwise you are trying to bother someone with you drivle. No, we are not getting Ron Artest and Elton Brand for what we have in any form with a number 1 pick. It would take any entire package of good including the number 1 pick to get ONE of these guys and I for one would not trade Bogut for either, NO way, No how, not in 20 years. Ron Artest is one more blow up from being out of the league and Brand is a real nice PF. Sorry, Ill take the C.

hahahahahahahha I've never in my life thought Briggs would make a post like that. I wouldn't be shocked if what I'm thinking (I wont mention it to give a certain someone ideas) actually happens, b/c it would have already happened on MSG!!!!!!!!
