Will Ariza be a complete Tracy McGrady or just the SF who can is an awesome dunker, kind of like Fred Jones of the Indiana Pacers. I think Ariza will develop a jumper but will not have the confidence, kind of like Marbury. He does not shoot just drive, so he will be a 1 dimensional player. Although I do hope he gains confidence because he has a good midrange jumper, as you could see in the Chicago game. So good they gave him the winning shot but it was blocked and Curry scored. Speaking of Curry I think he is what the Knicks need, they should also get Swift of the Girztz, both free agents this summer. They trade KT and TT to Charlotte for some cheap players to dump off the cap, and they would be stars in Charlotte, maybe they will take Penny too.

I think with the right situation Ariza is shaping up to be a full time 15 ppg 7 rpg 2 spg player who is a top notch defender and a highlight reel waiting to happen.
Of course, we're talking about how good he could POSSIBLY be. I believe he will be good at hitting the midrange jumper when it's all said and done, but he will never be a prolific outside threat at all. He will always be more of the type to take it to the basket.

yes that is MJ

Marion can score and play good d and pippen can score
Spree can shoot 3's dunk and shoot
and Tayshaun is a defensive powerhouse with some range.

Please describe that player to me.

I'm not but I think that is a bad comparision, Ariza will not have that type of abitlity and I disagree with your post of marion, prince, pippen, and spree and where did Lebron come in?? LBJ

I know everyone is very high on Ariza, and I like him too, but I don't see the great potential that everyone else does. I think he's going to pretty much be a more consistent Darius Miles type player.. I like the Tayshaun Prince analogy too. He's more athletic than Tayshaun, but will probably be much more consistent with everything than D-Miles, because of his work ethic. He just looks too awkward. His shot is very weird looking.. Marcus Camby like (obviously it will be better than that). His ball control is awkward too. I think his biggest asset is his body control when he drives or gets to the hoop. He seems to be able to absorb contact and manage to contort himself to get a decent shot off, but his dribble doesn't look great and his shot just looks weird. He is of course a rookie, so maybe with a shooting coach and development, this could all change (I certainly hope so), but that's just what I see right now.

i just thought putting ariza's name with mcgrady was a little whack. they should never be mentioned in the same sentence because they're nothing alike. at best ariza can become spree without the 3's. spree's shot is kinda awkward too.

Trevor has the potential to be very good. Maybe a Stromile Swift type for the SF position.

I don't understand why he has completely stopped rebounding though. if we want a SF who can score with no rebounds, Tim Thomas is actually slightly better at that game. I want Trevor to hit the boards more, particularly the offensive boards.
