ok, we lost jamal, tim, penny, and sweets and we have to suck it up and play through injuries like everybody else. look at new orleans, right?

well, pheonix loses nash and then proceed to lose 4 games in a row and we hear nothing? even with amare, marion, qrich, and jj, they still can't win a game? what's their excuse?

They still have 31 wins and hold the best record in the league...not sure they need an excuse yet.

i understand matt.

that's just my point. they won 31 games but then lose 4 in a row losing their point guard.

we lose our SG, SF, and backup PF and we have no excuses and have to fight through it.

don't forget they sucked big time last year before nash came along. nash really runs their high octane offense well so i guess this losing streak is to be expected. given his age, they should put developing a backup pg high on their priority list...

the sonics on the other hand are still winning big games without rashard lewis. awesome.

How did they lose 4 in a row, Briggie? Why couldn't Amare and Marion and everyone just step it up? That's what they're supposed to do when a key player gets injured!

i saw that last night they plugged in Barbarosa at PG and he got 15 points and 0 assists. NONE! I think even Moochie would have gotten one if he been out there with Amare, QRich, the Matrix and JJ.

some players are so key they have that kind of effect on a team. for example gsw's jason richardson sprains ankle misses nine games plays havoc with my fantasy team while sending warriors to a 9 game losing funk.

This actually shows how much Nash matters.

Meaning, he is the major reason behind that 30+ win record, not Amare or whoever. Once again proving he is 100 times the player Marbyr was, is, or ever will be.

Why do we alays get stuck with loosers.
A glimmer of hope maybe?!?

you're right. i mean to think marbury can't play .700 ball with kurt and nazr waiting for those alley oops...

Take Marbury off the Knicks and the Knicks would be right where the Hornets are.

Nash, Shaq, KG, Duncan are vital to their teams without them the teams would be hard pressed to be in the playoffs.

No, the problem is Marbury can't play .500 ball.

And Mohammed is capable of cathing alleys, he is athletic, and has cought alleys before. Marbury just does not know how to lob a pass.

Or bouncepass, or not throw a frakin bullet. Or play defense.

The point is Nash has a lot more impact then Marbury does because he runs the team a lot better. You put Nash on this team and I bet we would be a few games over .500 right now and finish the season with a solid 45 win record.

I 100% agree with you. Players like to play with a pass first pg rather than a score first pg. Marbury has assist but his assists are from dominating the ball for 40 minutes. Just look at how many assist he gets from playing the pick and roll with KT. he gets 3 a game. But how many time does he run a break and dish out an assist. How many time does he throw an alley oop, how many time does he tread the needle and hit a open man cutting to the hoop. I like Marbury but he is a SG caught in a PG body and teams that trade him realize that there is life after marbury. If the right deal comes along like say Artest and tinsley for Marbury make the trade becasue the KNicks would improve team play and defensively.

What fast breaks?
Who cuts to the hoop?
Who can catch an alley oop besides Ariza?
WTF are you talking about?
If only he lobbed it up there for KT or the high-flying Nazr who are so quick to fill the lanes on those numerous fast break oppurtunities we see.
You need to fix your satelite dish man.

When Nazr was running the break and finishing with one handed thunder dunks he was all that remember.

Now marbury can't evenattempt to send an alley-oop.

Marbury is overrated as the #1 point guard in the league,he needs to shut his pie-hole and play .
JAMES DOLAN on Isiah : He's a good friend of mine and of the organization and I will continue to solicit his views. He will always have strong ties to me and the team.

I agree that Nash is a better PG than Marbury- but if you switched the today before the start of the season, I bet Phoenix would stll be up there with wins.

I am so tired of this 'Marbury is a looser' crap. Get real. He hasn't played on any good teams.

And, the year before last when Phoenix made the playoffs, they nearly bumped the Spurs off. But, being outgunned and putting up a fight mean nothing.

Funny how every team that trades Marbury becomes a 50+ win team. Weird, huh? Hopefully we're next.
Wishing everyone well. I enjoyed posting here for a while, but as I matured I realized this forum isn't for me. We all evolve. Thanks for the memories everyone.

sure! Hey.. if we are able to collect a young core of players at the caliber of Amare/Marion/JJ or KMart/Jefferson/Kittles and trading Marbury either gets us a star or cap space to sign a max player or more then where do I sign? Until then it falls under the why bother catagory

I'm not necessarily saying that the entire blame for that lies strictly on Marbury, but sometimes you have to take a step back to have the room to move forward. The thing is that it's very difficult to build a championship team around a point guard. You usually build championship teams around a star big man (6'11"+). Marbury's a nice piece; but I just don't see how we're ever going to add that big man, unless fans are patient enough to let every player go in the year that H20 and Shandon expire, except for Nazr, Ariza, Sweetney, Crawford, Marbury. Then, we'd have the money to sign LeBron (in which case Nazr and Sweetney is enough to get by) or any star big man who is a free agent. Otherwise, how do we get there? Marbury for a group of young big men would be a nice way to go. We are starting to get younger, but I think we have a huge problem, seeing as how our mobility to move forward in the frontcourt is severely limited, unless we're planning on getting lucky in the draft. I guess the main thing for me is that I'm very confused as to what Isiah has planned next. We missed out on a volley of big men this offseason and now I don't know what is left that's actually attainable.

yup....j rich back in action and gsw snaps 9 game losing streak with j rich making a statement with 42 points, 8 assist, 3 rebs, 3 steals and 1 blocked shot...bloody brilliant!

how's that for key
