He at least plays good post defense.

East Rutherford, N.J. -- The NBA's trade deadline isn't until next month, but center Clifford Robinson has long been expecting his name to surface in discussions. It has in New Jersey.

The Nets have two trade exceptions worth $5 million and $10 million to use as bargaining chips, and have offered the former to Golden State in exchange for Robinson. Robinson has two years left on his contract and said the Warriors have told him they will not pick up their team option for 2005-06.

Given his contract status and veteran experience, Robinson said he appreciated his trade value, but won't allow the talks to distract him. The 15- year pro played in 14 consecutive postseasons before being shipped to Golden State last year.

Well, he's a year older than me. How do i know that? My wife was a junior at Uconn when he was a senior! You know what that makes him, OLD! we dont need older players!

I think he's a solid player- but, like everything- what would we have to give up to get him- probably not worth it...

OK I'll buy that, but why did we sign Baker and sundov?

sundov is low cost $$$, so that's a no brainer, and if there were another big man out there, he can be cut at any time.

I always thought that the Baker signing was a risk Isiah took that was akin to trading for Nazr. Some risks work and some do not. At the beginning of last year Baker played really well for Boston, but it has not really panned out for him on the Knicks.

the other robinson would have helped us.. too bad his foot was f***ed up. We could have used a 6'9 athletic swing player that like to play D.

The main thing that never panned out with Vin was playing time. We really don't know how well or poorly he could play for us because he hasn't played.

Cliffy for Vinny would work for me, but anything else is just uncivilized.

i would actually be ok w/going after cliff if all we had to give up was something like Moochie & Sundov...but other than that there's nothing we have that would make sense for both teams.

Cliff Robinson is better than any front court player we have.

And this my friends is why playa2 is my favorite poster!

Okay, where do i begin. Good old cliffy just turned 38 years young in december.

He plays 26 minutes a game where he averages 9 points and 3 rebounds my good friends.

Well actually its 2.8 rebounds but whos counting?

ME THATS WHO!!!! We have not 1, but 2 big guys on our team averaging more rebounds than he is averaging points!!!!! Steph grabs more rebounds than him. Even Tim thomas grabs more.

We have two double double guys and this guys only double digit stat is in minutes played!!

Playa, seriously why don't you "root" for another franchise. I mean, you already are I'm just saying lets make it official. Unregister, and join ultimatenets or something. Why don't you try and be the mod at Vince Carters fan page or something? Just come out of the closet, its not a secret anymore. Everyone knows.

Playa, I've seen a lot of Cliff Robinson. Three or four years ago I would have said, bring him on board but, he's well past his prime and like so many at his age, has slowed down... speed wise, on defense. As a result, I'll pass on him.

Uncle Cliffy does not make us younger and more athletic.

We should just go after everybody.
