We need a sharp shooter/defender and a PF/C to help Nazr and Sweetney out. Those two are exactly the type of players that the Knicks truely need. Jim Jackson is an excellent passer and can bring all of the things that we so ever want TT to provide. He is fearless and swear that he will not report to the Hornets to play. Why not trade Penny to N.O for those two??????? JJ has been played for many teams and he in my opinion has the attitude that our Knicks team so desired. Put him in the starting lineup with Marb instead of TT with Sweetney at the 4. What will it take?? please Isiah we want to win now and Jackson can help us in that department........

it would be tough accepting PJ Brown as a Knick but not a bad idea if we can't get a young, althetic, post-up, bigman prospect stud. Who else would you trade along with Kurt?

The idea is simply to have Jim Jackson. Later after the trade for Jim Jackson, we can consider trading Kurt Thomas for a big under-achiever like Chandler, Nene, or Sammy.....

Jim Jackson can't be traded till after the season. realgm.com indicates that his expiration for the trade restriction is 2/27/2005 which 3 days after the trading dealine. I like the idea though.

dude you have to realize that Denver will never trade NENE to the Knicks. He is amazing, has a rookie contract whereas KT makes $7mil. How is he an underachiever?! they have Camby and now he's proving he has way more upside! We might have a chance at Kwame and Chandler though. Forget about Eddy Curry too

JJ can be traded for sure, but the Hornets hold that right. They are playing hard ball, but I totally agree with Jackson for not wanting to play for this lousy team. Soon or later the Hornets will have to trade him, and Isiah will be right there waiting on him. I can't believe why they are doing my man so wrong. JJ and PJ for Penny is much more than they want. Penny can be the starting SG that would provide the much needed leadership that that team needs and furthermore, they would get a 17 million dollar expired contract next season to deal for a big name superstar to replace Mash and Byron Davis

call me naive but how exactly will this work. We already have TT, houston, ariza, crawford, JYD. The only way that works is if TT goes on IR and you don't just put a guy making 10mil on IR

i think you'd have to offer up a package involving KT to get JJ & PJ Brown...maybe using Moochie & Bruno as filler contracts...

either that, or offer up TT for both those guys...they won't be interested in Penny Hardaway, but TT might get it done.

C - Nazr / PJ / Baker
PF - KT / Sweetney / JYD
SF - JJ / Ariza
SG - Houston / Penny
PG - Marbury / Moochie
IR - Crawford / Brewer / Sundov

whatever works. At this point, I need JJ in N.Y. he is a true player that gets no respect around the league. the guy works hard everynight for whomever he plays for. The Kings may try to bring him back also. Now is the time for us to take action... TT would look really good playing for N.O

whatever would get us JJ in N.Y is what we have to do. JJ and JYD could spell nothing but trouble for the opposing team. They are both fearless. Isiah wants to build a winning franchise, than he definitely needs to add JJ to our roster. The hell with Kurt, I have enough of his style of play. PJ Brown or other can give us the same production. Trade Kurt while we still can.......

Jimmy Jackson is a pretty decent player......

I was a big fan when he was in Dallas and I got to see him alot when he was in New Jersey for a hot second.

Dude has just been traded for no reason. I just don't understand it.

this trade for David Wesley kind of makes sense for Houston though because Wesley and Sura can take turns on the point since both are just tweeners.......Tracy is a small-fwd regardless what anyone has to say.

Still Jimmy on the Knicks makes alot of sense but how could that happen? PJ and Jimmy for Timmy sounds perfect. Still that 2/27 limitation to trade is a bummer.

Jimmy definately has love from me.

Forget about a big trade for now, that will come with time. All we need right now is a simple trade to get the other players'attention. I would love to have CWebb, but I will settle for a combo of Jimmy Jackson and P.J. Brown.....

See why we must have JJ and P.J. Brown in N.Y.???? The two things that we must do are very simple, at least to contain this season: fire Lenny for Agwire, and trade TT and Kurt Thomas to N.O for JJ and Brown....

Jim Jackson isn't a big deal. If Gundy traded him on that team that is all about defense, it's tell you something. Or he didn't get along with McGrady. But I remember him on the Nets and he did nothing there. He seems like a guy happy to collect a paycheck. The Dallas days are long gone. I wouldn't give up TT or KT for him. Maybe Minnie the Mooch and Little Penny.
We could be the Dallas Mavs of the East.

Get over Jim Jackson! He can't be traded and it wouldn't matter if we got him.

Now, you are, though, on the right track with suggesting a trade with New Orleans. If I am their GM and I am not thinking about some kind of rebuilding effort, I am on drugs.

Magliore's hurt- but might he be had for some combo involving Nazr, Sweets, Ariza, Moochie, Penny & a draft pick? Baron Davis? Perhaps some kind of three way?

Serious- Baron Davis has been hurt alot of late- I doubt we can get him, but I doubt he's untouchable...
