Yes, for all of them except Camby.

However, Isiah is not going to trade a player 5 months after he worked extremely hard to get the player, unless some GM approaches him with an unbelievable offer

Can we wait to see if Houston is still standing by the time Crawford is healthy?

You can wait if you want to, but even if Houston never walks again, I'd take an extremely athletic young 7 footer over Crawford any day. SGs are much more replaceable

Well, yeah, if you can make that trade. My guess is teams would want big for big. If teams want Craw and Sweetney, what would you demand in return?

I agree; I was just addressing NYKfan1's hypothetical situation where Jamal is traded for the 7 footers he listed. If Sweetney were included, I'd still do the trade for Brand, but I'm not sure about the other players.

I would only trade Craw for Brand. The other big men there are not worth trading crawford over. I'll bet Zeke agress with me.

camby is mr glass. he's all heart and athletism, but he never improved on other facets of his game.
injuries may slow him down soon.

I would only trade Jamal for Brand as well. They would want KT as well. KT/Jamal/Sundov for Brand works contract wise.

I am not sure about Nene now. He seems to be hurt a lot, but a Nene and Skita for Jamal works contract wise.

He did look good at the end of that epic Mav game last week. I bet Chad Ford was comparing him to Dirk Digler or Gasol after the game

the thing with Jamal and this team is we ARE rebuilding whether people see it or not. We are still in the phase of aquiring as many pieces as we can. Of these guys, how many think Mooche, Penny, TT, KT, JYD, Nazr, Baker, Houston, or any of the guys on IR will be here 2 years from now?

Just focus on getting younger guys, more flexible contracts and executing in the draft. After 2-3 years the Knicks will have a legit roster of young talented guys and flexible contracts. Crawford has a long deal but he's only getting paid 5,6,7mm over the next 3 years.

I like him, but if you have a chance to move him for a stud that solidifies your team, well... isnt that part of the reason you sign a young guy?

I'm not so sure you trade Crawford if your Isiah- Bonn hits it on the head when he points out that Isiah can't trade a player after such a short time when he worked so hard to get him- it will cost him when he tries to work out other sign and trades or straight up free agent signings.

interesting point. But for Brand you just have to do it and you can explain that to certain players like:

"Look I like you alot I am making this trade for you and I plan to keep you here. However, if Kg's name is mentioned in a trade with you, you realize that I have to do what I have to do."

Zeke said it best when he spoke about KT he said he gave him the extension as a way of saying thank you for his hard work. That doesn't mean he wouldn't trade him and he said that. I paid you for your services but I would still trade you if a deal came along that made the team better. Thats his job, and a players job is to play wherever he is asked to play.

And please stop with this Camby talk. I liked him for all of the 30 games he played here, but you don't give up craw for him and I am no Craw fan by a long shot. Camby, has improved his jumper, but is another jump shooting big man really what we need? If he could be had cheaply yes, but I would rather get dalembert who is younger with more upside and essentially brings the same things to the game as Camby does now.

I agree that for someone who already is a star, you do the deal. It's easy to justify a deal for Brand. It's harder with guys who might or might not become stars like Kwame and Chandler and Nene, etc. Trading Crawford for one of those latter guys, sends a lot of bad messages. It tells future free agents that if you sign with me, we may try to trade you in just a few months even if it's only a questionable talent upgrade. It tells fans that you don't have a stable plan. One minute you're pursuing a young shooting guard, the next minute you feel like you don't really need him but instead need a young PF/C. By the end of this season or at some point next year, Crawford could be traded without it looking awful.

i think Bonn has a good point about sending a bad message if you trade Crawford only a few months into his time here after having traded for him a little while earlier & portraying him as a key piece to the future of the franchise...i would only make the deal if it was an absolute no-brainer to get a proven star player that can make an immediate impact on this team.

I guess tyhat pretty much x's out everyone except brand. Personally I would trade craw for Nene, but I agree that it send the wrong message and also Craw brings an excitement that will put butts in seats, Nene does not.

Maybe he does that, but selling tickets doesn't necsessarily win championships.
