Chad Ford came out with his revised insider predictions for the NBA season. He took his preseason prediction of the Knicks at the 7th seed in the east and now has them at #9 in the east. He has Philly and the NJ Nets ahead of us. That just isn't right. We have a better record and we just beat both of them. I think he has something against the Knicks. This put it over the top. I demand that everyone drop him a quick line to tell him what an idiot he is. Maybe he'll start to show a little more respect. Here is the link:

He talks about how Vince wouldn't have been a good fit in NY, and Isiah knew it. "But 'buzz' has replaced chemistry in Isiah's playbook, and carter provided plenty of that. In Carter's absence, the "buzz" falls on Jamal Crawford.........Crawford's willingness to step up is something to build on. Despite his crazy shot selection and his suprising unwillingness to pass (Crawford still claims he's a pointguard)at least he seems interested in winning. I've just learned to ignore him, or go with the opposite. He's saying we're #9 in the East, out of 15 teams...so probably about #6

Its not just about the ranking but also what he said about Marbury and the entire Knicks team which I feel personally insulted. This is not the first time he has done this and it really bothers me already.

knicks are almost sure fire for the playoffs. im not saying this is a good team and we could EASILY be something like 10-14, but the bottom line is we have gotten important contributions from various sources almost every night, Marbury has been very dependable, the team has showed cohesion, we have had timely hoops+ we havent suffered any rash injury. Putting the nets ahead of us is off. we have depth and good players in the frontline, they have nothing there. We sure have needs, but were not in a bad position.

Im going to put some real stock into this game tomorrow. This is a good team we are playing at home. Forget the record, show me what we can do against a good team--thats where you can find true answers of where you stand.

I know, the guy is annoying as hell, but what can you do? I actually just sent him a letter recently (we had to send persuasive essays in English class to people who may take the other side of the arguement)about the Knicks and the future of this franchise. Should be interesting to see if I get a response. (unfortunately, this was after 4 preseason games, and I had mentioned some nice things about TT that I wish I could of changed).

Not going to put the full article... here is the Knicks part:

New York Knicks: Knicks fans should all breathe a huge sigh of relief that Vince Carter is playing in New Jersey. He wouldn't have been a good fit in New York, and Isiah knew it. But "buzz" has replaced chemistry in Isiah's playbook, and Carter provided plenty of that.

In Carter's absence, the "buzz" falls on Jamal Crawford. Crawford has hit some big shots the past few weeks and isn't shy about taking them. He's the anti-Tim Thomas, who tends to assume the fetal position in the last two minutes of the fourth quarter.

Crawford's willingness to step up is something to build on in New York. He says Marbury and Isiah don't care about winning...people have always made that case about Marbury, I dispute it, and the people on the other side of the argument say he's never won. OK, until Marbury wins I GUESS they can still make that argument.

Saying Isiah doesn't care about winning is absolutely preposterous. You talk to anyone in the NBA and they will tell you he is hellbent on winning. He backstabs, lies, cheats, etc just TO win. He won 2 NBA Championships. What is Ford talking about?

Predicting the Knicks to finish 10th when they're 3rd right now and will only continue to gell is just idiosy.

Please please please bring on NJ with their suddenly higher ranking because of that trade. I am so ready for them to be exposed with their ridiculous lineup. who's their PF - Scallopine? Krstic's ready for big minutes? Is Carter going to play SG? Terrible, terrible lineup.

As far as the other commnets, it only makes sense that the Knicks have to win to combat all the hate. We are open to ridicule with the amount of $ we've spent to assemble a team that's barely over .500. Knick fans know the inside story on the history of that, we know the improvement and real changes that are going on with this team, we know just what STephon has been made of since he's been here. But Knick haters will alwyas have plenty to flame about until we establish a truly winning team. I get into that all the time with my friend from Denver. You don't know how much torment the Knicks spared me by beating the Nuggs the other day!

I don't think he has said anything all that unreasonable....the nets with a healthy jason kidd and vince carter are a better team, if the knicks defend the will be the three seed but if they falter you never know....

it was pretty dead on...the knicks struggle to close games, win games, defend, and make good decisions

Ever since IT traded away our EUROs (Milos, Lampe & Vranes) he has been on a war path against the Knicks. The guy is a clown! Ooops, I don't want to get the same backlash that Nalod got. OK. The guy is an idiot. Not as big as Marc Berman but an idiot just the same.

How is it that Knicks fans should be thankful that Vince didn't come but the Nets ranking improves by adding him? Still, this isn't worth too much angst. Most of the posters on this board know a whole lot more about the Knicks than this idiot. More doubters the better, IMO. Hopefully it'll have us playing w/ a chip on our shoulder.
