thats good for our up coming game, but does it present an opportunity to go after him? maybe they wont want to pay him? Im sure the Knicks would be willing to give him 10mm per tp play PF, maybe they would take KT Sweetney 3mm and a future pick for Brown and any crp contract?

Give me one reason why you would want Kwame???? I live in Maryland and I have watched this kid ever since Jordan drafted him. This dude is worthless. Haywood is the type of dude that we need. I wouldn't trade Sweetney for Kwame straight up. Now, if they want to include Jamison in the deal, I would say yeah.

According to sources close to the team, the Washington Wizards have suspended Kwame Brown one game for a dispute with head coach Eddie Jordan during Wednesday's home loss to the Denver Nuggets.

Brown, recently activated from the injured list and working his way back into game shape, entered the game in the second quarter and drew Jordan's ire by failing to carry out defensive assignments. Witnesses said that Brown walked away from an irate Jordan during a timeout, and then refused to rejoin the huddle despite requests from teammates and coaches. Brown remained in the lineup for several more minutes, but was left on the bench throughout the second half.

Brown, who is in the final year of his contract and could become a free agent at season's end, missed the team's first 12 games as he recovered from surgery to repair a broken bone in his right foot.

I think Micheal Jordan destrotyed the kids confidence.

I heard when Jordan was with the wiz , that he continually rode Kwame to a point that Kwame broke down and cried like a baby. Jordan wanted him to play with his own work ethic at 18 with no college experience. Did he have the baskeball drive that Jordan did ? NO

Lot of pressure on you when the "Greatest who ever played" Drafts you #1 and then VERBALLY dogs you out in front of ya teammates reguarly at 18 yrs of age.

I would take him in a heart beat for sweetney.

This I believe is another example of a guy needing a change of scenery.

Yea Briggs we all remember Jermaine Oneal in Portland at 18 yrs of age.

Both were born in South Carolina Oneal and Kwame.

One advantage J Oneal had that Kwame didn't...Veterans to help steer him the right way.

Who does Kwame have to keep him straight in Washington. Noone bring him to ny for sweets and let AGUIRRE GROW HIM UP.

we now have 2 centers who are not in favor with their coaches:

samuel dalembert
kwame brown

i think isiah really needs to try to get one of these guys now - only problem is that all our chips are pretty much spent this season unless he's willing to part with sweetney or ariza.

kurt & sweetney is alot to give up briggs - especially since you're giving up our best jumpshooting bigman and our best low post player and not really replacing either but i may have to bite to get one of the two above.

Be careful with what you wish for. A player with the desire to win would never let embarassment or pressure slow his growth. I know that Jordan is not the easiest person to learn from, but he did the same thing with all of them. Jared Jefferies and Juan Dixon thrived from having Jordan to mentor them. The problem was that Jordan made a mistake by trading for Stackhouse who was not a leader. Stack was brought in to mediate between Jordan and the kids, but failed to do so. Instead he divided whatever little trust there were. The first year that Kwame got drafter, they had a mix of good role players around that also helped Kwame. Popeye Jones, CWhit, and others were there to provide mentorship to Haywood and Kwame. In fact Haywood had his best years playing with that group. Kwame didn't do to bad in that year either. However, once Jordan traded RIP for Stack, all went down the drain. That in my opinion was the mistake that Jordan made. Stack killed the chemistry and all of the foundation that Jordan and coach collins had established. Stop blaming Jordan for what happened with the Wiz. Stack was a snintch, he was playing the youngsters and the owner against Jordan, especially when Jordan decided to start after the Wizz bad start. Trust me I know the story, because I used to follow that sorry a&& franchise.

I would really give up the boat for Kwame RIGHT now. I would give them whatever they want. I would like to hold onto Ariza (they are loaded at 3 anyway). Any combo of Sweetney, Nazr, KT, future #1's, cash, whatever. They dont have any real bad deals to take back...

If they wanted this year's #1 you (we cant trade the pick) you can still give it too them. Just trade them you 06 and 08 #1's then draft a player and trade his draft rights back for your 06/08 #1's.

Not too much I wouldnt give up for Kwame right now.

I dont know if anyone remembers, but LAST season before the Marbury trade I suggested KT and 3 first round picks for Kwame straight up.

Swift, Dalembert, Chandler, Curry, Brown all FAs come this offseason. KT & Muhammad will both have value at seasons end. TT & Hardaway will both enter there walking yrs. I wouldn't mind going after Mourning right now in the right deal though who would also have good value at season end if he can stay healthy plus help us right now.

How can you compare Jermaine Oneal to Kwame???? Jermaine showed flashes of a guy with a lot of skills and basketball IQ when he was with Portland. I remember in the playoffs versus the Lakers, he did a decent job guarding Shaq as a tweener. Kwame has a big mouth, but doesn't have what it takes to be the type of player that we have to pay $70 to 80 million to. Jermaine had to prove himself before he received that big pay check from Indy. I know that you are a clever guy, why would you want to pay Kwame more than the MLE right now??? what has he done in this league to deserve more than that? Please don't tell me that he 7' tall, because Nazr has been putting up good numbers for us and is collecting less than the MLE.

Why is Vince Carter being brought up? Sorry, but I am going after Kwame. Real good things can happen to that young man working under Aguire. Just look at Nazr. Nazr is looking awesome, and he isn't even that talented. Kwame is 10X more talented on both ends. Just imagine him working with Aguire now. If Kwame and Dalembert aren't even on Isiahs radar, then I think he should be fired.

I would take Brown in a second. I agree that Jordan stunted his growth. The man never got to feel that the Wizards were his team. With Jordan around he hogged the spot light away from him and never let him be the man. Thats a fact. Last year Brown out up nice number he needs a change of senery and NY would be the place for him. Remember he is Pat Ewing product. I welcome that.

make the Houston/TT/JYD for Carter/Rose/Woods trade if you can, then try & get Kwame for Sweetney, Moochie, cash & conditional future pick.

C - Nazr / Woods
PF - Kwame / KT / Baker
SF - Carter / Ariza
SG - Crawford / Rose
PG - Marbury / Penny / Brewer
IR - Sundov

this team has some very good trade pieces in it & you'd finally have a franchise young bigman talent you can hope to develop for the future along w/2 legitimate superstar calibre players & another budding star in Crawford...KT, Penny, Nazr, Woods & Ariza make up a good set of role players, & Rose gives you some added offensive punch who can score clutch baskets in big games, albeit he comes w/the baggage of having a bad attitude if he's not getting regular minutes.
After 7 years & 40K+ posts, banned by martin for calling Nalod a 'moron'. Awesome.

#1 Look at the big man teachers J.O'neal had in Portland, R.Wallace, That Lituania dude 7'3 + Brian Grant etc.. ALL VETS WHO PLAYED HIS POSITION.

In washington what Vet did he have to learn the game from who was also playing with him ?
