Finally... all the flirtation with Ben Simmons (who maybe doesn't even want to play anymore) and others went on too long. Shamet did what was asked and plays a catch and shoot style that works well around KAT, Brunson and others that need the ball in their hands to iso/create. Hope he can stay healthy and give us quality minutes this year.

So it looks like Shamet and Matthews are really competing for one spot as the bench shooter. Matthews is really f'ing good from 3 (but maybe not much else).

With both guys capable of shooting 40 pct from 3 and under a 30 - how is it that neither can get a guaranteed contract in this league right now?

Shamet came back from that nasty shoulder injury. Scrappy, hardworking dude. I approve.

Although I hope we have enough bigs that can make it through the season.

I think Matthews is underrated -- really really quick trigger.

Think this is a nice move to have both guys compete and may best man win.

Either way we add a another distance shooter.
