Josh hart with a fundamentally sound Jump shot would have been great.
Either Thibs was unusually stubborn or Knicks had no other choice.
The jumpers knee might have much to do with his avg 37min per game!!!! Yes, he lead the league in minute played. Only missed 5 games this year.

As for KP? We all know unicorns are not real. They are fragile and break. KP, Wemby and Holgrem all break easy.
KP career trajectory never fulfilled the promise. Chet and Wemby still have plenty of games ahead of them so there is hope for them. Chet has ring and was a major force.
Celtics got a chip. KP has a chip.
"A cancer?" He had his moment. Never been confirmed. He was a 22 year old Allstar when he went down in his third season.
He was arrogant. He over played his hand. He was empowered. He was an *******. But a locker room cancer I don't recall.

In the 30-40 or so games KP will be able to play, he will be a tough cover with Young in the pick and pop.

I kinda liked seeing him take up real estate on the Celtics bench. It was good to see when we played them. Too bad

nope... all salary. They were paying 8x a tax rate being in the second apron. This was pure cost cutting and they got helped out

If its a viral issue that KP has moved past, then its bad news for us. Going to make the Hawks tougher to beat. They're showing depth in the frontcourt and backcourt.

KP isnt suffering from something requiring surgery, so if he's healthy, Hawks are in good shape next season.

Porzingis was malingering this past season and playoffs. He is a horrible teammate and person. Hawks will be glad he’s gone after next season.

KP has reconciled his immaturity in NYC with some humility and other than an on court beef with Luka 6 years ago (two alphas wanting to be the man) there has not been any issues with him as a bad teammate. He learned to not go partying in Latvia at 3am without security as drunk dudes want a macho altercation.
Some fans have a hard time thinking a player can actually grow thru experience from the time they are 19. KP is not durable and Boston traded for them knowing who he was. He gave them enough to get home court advantage and a chip.
