same... the problem has been the Pacers on both sides of the ball. They have just been terrific. I think the one game we won is the only one they did not shoot the lights out. They cruised past the Bucks/Cavs and we are seeing why.I STILL love the squad and direction of the team. We all thought it was early and with our lack of depth would not make it past Boston. Obviously losing to the Pacers 2nd year is utterly disgusting but if that's the hump we need to overcome fine. Pacers ran it back after adding Siakam. I think we are in a great spot. Just solidify the bench. Continuity will improve the offense.
I expect a huge effort from us tonight, but that really hasnt been the problem. Fingers crossed. God I would at least love to win a couple here. Force a 7... But winning game 5 is shaky
They believed in their team...didn't sell on Turner and now have an apron decision to make on him in FA. But they were right to keep the continuity as they have executed flawlessly since the 2nd half of the year when Turner, Nesmith, Nembhard all got healthy. They were something like 34-14 from Jan 1 and are 11-3 in the playoffs right now. Playing like .725 ball for the last 5 months.
This is their window though...to keep Turner in the offseason and avoid the tax they are gonna have to dump Obi's money. If they don't they will end up in a tough place when Nesmith comes due the year after. Turner with his unique skill set for the modern NBA probably will command over $30mm annually. So they are going for it and sense this is their time too.
