I'm sure I'll get tons of pushback on this one but has the thought come to anyones mind that just maybe the Knicks (consciously or unconsciously) tanked that Hawks game?

Losing that game (last Wed) resulted in Knicks basically playing only 1 game (Today) until this Thursday (a very nice break in terms of minutes police concerns and potentially getting some practice time in.

Plus gave us 3 full days to prepare for Orlando today and another 3 full days to prepare for trip to Minny to visit Julius/Donte on Thurs.

I don't believe it myself simply because it seems hard to collectively tank but the result of only 1 game in 7 days is a nice break again considering there is another big break around all-star game.

On above post --- maybe I'm imagining a rest advantage by not advancing into cup finals --- didn't check on alternative scheduling but would think maybe less travel

Lakers and Pacers both stunk it up after the cup last December.

But I bet very few players would tank and pass up a tidy bonus of $500K. And very few that would not try to win it for their lesser-paid teammates.

I wish it was they had tanked - would have been a better explanation for the lackluster effort.

I doubt we tanked it to Vegas. Knicks are not a great team yet. WE are good. ATL bench is very good. This is not how they will sustain. They are prime for a consolidation type trade. And I suspect their picks are stocked was well. They are us two years ago.

The only thing shocking is that somehow, they are tied. lol Let everybody score at the rim. There is still poor switching on D and some dumb shots. They need to clean this up. The team is just not focused. Is it a coach issue or JB problem?
