Wow - poor Zion get's all the hate for being the wrong shape (round or out of) but they are pretty much a brittle bunch, with all their main guys missing a boatload of games.

They are in last place in the West. But, they have hope, because the Knicks have struggled with winning back to back games this year and Friday we barely beat an anemic Charlotte Hornets.

Knicks sent Dadiet to the G League.

Will Thibs ever rest his hurt starters (OG?) or his struggling starters (Mikal!)

Pelicans coming off a loss Friday.

not yet:

CHARLOTTE, N.C. — Six weeks after Precious Achiuwa was shelved with a hamstring strain, the backup big broke his silence and revealed the final hurdle before his long-awaited return.

“I need to get to that point where I’m able to build confidence with myself again,” Achiuwa said after collecting his 19th straight DNP in Friday’s Knicks victory over the Hornets. “I’m an explosive player. For me to be able to explode, I’m going to have to build that confidence.”

Achiuwa, who was ruled out for Sunday’s game against New Orleans, said he doesn’t know when that will happen, but he’s practicing full contact and remains “day to day.”

The injury and combination tanking in the NBA is at epic proportions right now.

Basically 1/2 of Pelican team is out with "injury" - this after a game where 1/2 of Hornet roster was out with "injury".
Suns were missing Durant/Beal -- Mavs missing Luka, Gafford and Klay.

Virtually any game you watch and at least 1 or 2 sometimes 3, 4 and 5 guys sitting.

Kind of garbage

Stars missing but its cool when NBA players get a chance and go for their spot! Its not easy getting playing time and then show up!
Malachi Flynn, dude is stuck in the Gleague. his 200 game avg as an NBA player is 5.5 pts per game. Dude freaking dropped 50 last year OFF THE BENCH. Meaningless late season game but its NBA talent never the less.
Under scouted players can surge in short samples!

Why not us? Well, consider Brunson as a role player who legit turned into a star!
Linsanity? Second round Mitch Robinson as very good defensive player, and we did turn Free agent randle and DDV into KAT, playing as an All NBA level this season.

End of bench guys up from Gleague are hungry!!!!

Where is Alonzo Trier?? He got cut from Rockets G League team in November and perhaps too late to join an overseas club. He has been out of hoop for a few years now. In our 17 win season with FIZ he avg almost 11 pts over a 64 game run that did see him injured/inactive for long stretches. He did drop 29 one game! His last game 22 pts and was shut down for last 10 games. He came back the next season played just 24 games. Lots of DNPs. WE never really knew the issues but he had NBA chops.

Be ware of these guys. They can go off at any time!!! Elf looms on a shelf tonite!! LOL

OH ELF I'm legit worried about after +20 assist game a few games back and surely 2 or 3 scrubs will have career nights tonight.

Knicks win tonight they will be 12-8 in first 20 games, and they easily could have been 14-6. I thought they would 10-10 given the difficulty of the first 20 games. Missing Precious, Shamet, who we thought we would have so I think we are doing better then I thought we would. Didn't expect Bridges would be playing so poorly or the defense would be so bad.

They got some guys back so Elf is off the shelf in smaller role. I don't know **** about him but he played up here for a nice stretch and keeps wanting to comeback at age 30. HE'll likely never make the money he did but I admire the grit. Unless he is doing it for the money of course.
I Have no qualms with what he did here.
