I'll appreciate Julius if he just tones down his effort to fly to the rim and dunk the ball. Maybe have Charles Oakly give him some tips on staying just inches off the court and still being able to dominate the game!

Short of getting another elite big man like Anthony Davis, Bam or Mobley for him, I do not see any other Randle trade that improves the Knicks. Even getting people like KAT, Sabonis or Lauri will not improve us. Feels like the value of Randle for the Knicks is much higher than it could be for other teams, so we are unlikely to get back equal or greater value for him.

He dominated the trenches definitely. But his level of effort would not be appreciated in this offensive oriented nba culture.

Appreciated? He might not have made it in todays game. Draymond Green comes close to a comp.
I'll give Charles the benefit of the doubt. Guys in different eras are hard to peg. Dray had length which I don't know if Charles had. But, Charles was a great compliment to Ewing and in the Era they go it done.
Mostly at least1!1

Oakley would have, dare I say, done quite well for himself in todays game - he had a legit outside shot which I am sure would have extended into 3pt land. We focus on some of the brutal plays and think these guys would have played the same way (Draymond does SO there is that), but Oakley would have been a great player in todays game:

It’s a long video, but you can see his j is something that would translate to today’s NBA
