3 Years $150 Million with the 3rd year a player option?

OH HELL NO!! That dude is a franchise killer at this point. He will bitch and moan until your coach is fired, the players he doesn't want are traded and every tradable draft pick is gone.....and he isn't the difference maker that pushes a team over the finish line for a championship anymore. He will sell tickets and get you on the national broadcast every week. He will sell merch but he going to be the guy that wins you a chip anymore. And **** Rich Paul too.

Pure hoops without the exterior stuff - LeBron is a picture perfect fit in Randle's role.

I don’t know that he has 3 years in him. 1. If I were Dolan, I would promise him part ownership if he brings a chip (is that legal?)

S&T OG for Lebron?

Not to a max contract.
Draft Bronny. Lebron retires in two years. Bronny is still in the Gleague.
Let Lebron fulfil his dream in Westchester? I'd pay to see that.

I read Lebron will do his thing in LA and still wants to get paid. He earned that right to call his shots.
If he is viable to LA then just let him.

He gets coaches fired because he is given the power. LA gave it to him and Davis.
He wants to come on a cap friendly deal and swear his loyalty to Thibs which could be compelling, but it won't happen.

I pass.
That ship has sailed a long time ago for me.
I like our team. Champions or not.
Give me Giannis though, and I might change my tune.

I want to see this thru with our guy so I prefer we run it back with Randle.
use picks on Rooks or trade to fill out roster. Bring Bojan back also.
It won't work that way. Change is inevitable. Like most I never saw Brunson take it another huge notch to top 5 MVP nor OG have the kind of influence on success as he has.
Our FO has won my confidence. Even with mistakes like Kemba we on the right path!

No but he can come for the vet min and ring chase. Lebron was at the Cleveland vs Boston game makes me wonder if he signs with the Celtics or Cleveland...

Front office is practical and frugal. They gave up second rounders for Bogs for God sake. I can see them drafting some rooks and keeping Bogs at least thru the trade deadline. Even keeping Burks for the vet min after getting I Hart and Precious to return
. I can see Mitch being traded too injury prone maybe for future pics and a player with same contract. Team is frugal and practical in their acquisitions.

Don't forget Grimes, Flynn, and Fornier were sent as well. EF if given some minutes to get his timing could have contributed perhaps. The prize was Bojan who never going to be a 20ppg player for us, but he was an upgrade over EF for sure. Grimes still might be a good pro but Thibs is about the here and now. Grimes lost his confidence. It happens.

Grimes is a good player. Maybe like Obi he has aspirations that don't match his skill level. Both Obi and Grimes are rotation players but maybe they saw themselves ( as they should ) better then what the contracts they might have gotten in a strictly bench role. Grimes may not have been happy to be a bench player and that was that. We can replace Grimes with an other 3 and D guy in the off-season via draft, trade, or free agency.

at this stage i wouldn't want him for free

our biggest asset is chemistry and team work.

Lebron should form a super team with KD and Chris Paul

I would assume Lebron would understand the Thibian Culture we got going here and embrace it.
While he is the epicenter of his teams I would hope his attraction to be knick would be to be part of a team, not rebuild it.
He is a distributer and defensive influencer in his career.
When he bought into Spo in Miami after the 1st year he was cool with how they played defense.

Lebron is not the same player and if he wanted in he would have to do so with a smaller salary and no leverage to remake the roster to fit that massive cap space, coaching style, and other intangibles.

Same for any other diva that wants out and in here.

If Lebron came over for a humble contract, come on you all would get a Jersey.

If he did that and we won a chip it would cement his legacy. But he won't. He's just going to leverage LA until they give him a multi year max deal

If you had the cap space: Would you sign LeBron to a max contract?
