this is net positive for us. For whatever reason, Lowry has been a problem for us with his back tap steals, clutch shooting, etc. I'm glad he's off the Heat

Mia surely gets a younger more productive player, but Rozier just doesnt scare me. He's one of the worst defenders. He's in the Trae category of "get em back on offense" after they score on you

Maybe Miami can fix some of that or use him later on. Rozier can score and dish, he's not trash, but considering our guards I LOVE seeing him on defense. Expect Mia to get the most from him.. that's their MO for sure

Damn there's a WOJ bomb. I agree that Lowry has been tough on us, but in general he hasn't been important to the Heat. This is a huge add for them as another scoring option.

Everyone on Miami kills us. Martin, Vincent, Lowry.

Would be a serious net positive, if we could get him with that Nova boys. He’s going to be bought out. Need to keep him away from Bucks & Sixers. He’s always wanted to go home.

Lowry for 12-15 in the playoffs would be huge for us.

I am sure Terry will do good for MIA. Spo gets the best out of almost everyone.

fine with me, this kind of sets the price for a Rozier type. He's too small to have really fit here. he's having a great year on a horrible team but he can be really inefficient at times and doesn't defend.

This! Not to mention it would fix some serious bad karma for not trading for him because we were afraid Ujiri was screwing us yet again and we'd be an even bigger laughing stock around the league. Get this done. The basketball Gods demand it

Yeah didnt think about Lowry getting bought out, but he would be great insurance for us the rest of the year and he can guard bigger guys.

MIA was playing Lowry 30mpg, which is crazy given his age. I think he'd be great here as a 15mpg guy instead.

A couple things this does ;

1. Sets the market for this level of player. We now have a better idea of the cost of Brogdon, Brown, Clarkson.

2. Makes Hayward and Lowry real buyout candidates for the Knicks since they are below the apron and some of the best teams aren’t.

Looks like they want an asset in return. Lowry is on a 29.6M expiring.

Adrian Wojnarowski: The Hornets have no immediate plans to work on a buyout with Lowry and are expected to see if they can work another trade for him before the February 8 deadline, sources tell ESPN. – via Twitter wojespn
