Brunson, who is an amazing top 25 player. However, Jalen Williams is a top 60 player, and frankly may be better than RJ, Obi, Quick, or Grimes. The Jalen Williams could be a true 3rd option over the other guys we have now.

We could have dumped Cam instead of the pick for cap space and gotten Jalen Williams (who is also better than Josh Hart)

I get that you can't play that many guys- IQ, Grimes- they're potentially going to eat a lot of minutes.

But what happens if Grimes doesn't pan out? Or someone gets hurt?

I am a bit concerned that we haven't drafted anyone recently- that we don't have even a project that can take Obi's minutes.

And they have done good work finding really good talent in the late draft.

Everyone understands there are certain tradeoffs? You know, just like the Obi situation or maybe you find that situation better for a draftee and want to do that again?

After that I guess the simple answer is that your panties get more in a bunch over nothing.

While I admit they are not as bad as I remembered they are still bad when you consider the teams recent history. We know teams don't value protected picks so they won't be as useful in trades. The Jazz trade talks and the Spurs recent transactions show just how little they value protected picks.

We will definitly be getting the Mil pick but it is sure to be near the end of the round. The only thing that changes that is if Giannis asks for a trade or they get hit with a ton of injuries that season.

We won't be getting the WAS pick. They are going deep into tank territory. If they somehow get close to giving it up one of those years they will pull a Mavs.

Det is perpetually a terrible team. No matter how promising their young talent looks they always suck. their young talent will also be signing for big money around the time we most likely would get the pick. They don't have a recent history of being big spenders so the rest of the team talent level will suffer. I doubt we get their pick and like WAS if they get close to giving it up they will pull a Mavs.

It's possible we could get all 3 but would you willing to place a large bet that both WAS and DET will play decent enough to make that happen?

I'd place odds that all 3 will convey.

Knicks got Hart and DDV in the past six months, what rookies are raising the roof over the two of them over the next 4 years of Brunson and Randle? And that's neglecting IQ Grimes and RJ also being in the pipeline.
