Who should we sign as an emergency PF?

Knicks got their guy and until a star trade occurs, Knicks probably use Barrett/ Hart as backup PF. They have Roby but he’s no guarantee to make the team. Knicks definitely need to roster another PF.

They could sign a vet like Gibson, TJ Warren (CAA), or take a flier on Trendon Watford who was just released. They could also move Fournier to San Antonio for either McDermott or Khem Birch. McDermott is a 3/4 and Birch is a 4/5. Feels like a Gibson reunion could be the move. Thoughts ?

No emergency. its July 2nd.
IHart, not sims can fill some minutes.
For that matter I dont even see simms in the future.
I suspect Roby shows well enough and there will be a trade soon.

Gibson wants to play, and thibs would love to play him.

I think a EF trade happens to the spurs this summer or the Knicks need and hold his contract if embiid asks out.

Interesting note; Fred Katz said the Knicks signed DiVincenzo for about 800k less than the MLE, which means Knicks have enough room to sign an undrafted rookie to a multi year deal. That could be where they try to add a forward, although can’t rely on that player to help the team right away.

I think we'll just go with Hartenstein and Sims as the primary backup depending on the match up or go small with RJ or Hart.

Still cannot believe we gave away Obi smh.

Like those guys became available others will become available. Unless we got that guy already in Roby. Or we can trade Evans expiring for a back up 4 on a slightly longer deal.can McDermott play the 4 ? My daughter has his old Jersey, from Chicago.

I think the Knicks envision iHart with 4-1 out with Hart, DDV, IQ as very good rebounding guards. We shall see how that goes

Yeah, I think 50% of the scenes in The Book of Boba Fett was with Boba collapsed in a bacta tank after getting his @ss handed to him.
