Do you believe the FO should make an offer for Zion?

Maybe Mitch, IQ, Obi, and a bunch of first rounders.

The reason why I wouldnt mind seeing a trade because I dont believe that Zion is fragile, as the missed games suggest.

From a distance, Zion looks like a kid who has been gifted a brand new Lambo, and doesnt know how to keep it on the road. Still young enough to figure things out. Playing at MSG might give Zion more of a sense of urgency.

Part of the problem IMO is how Zion is used. A lot like RJ, but Zion has more of a repertoire. Look at his game at Duke, he was a much more versatile player.

Before the draft, scouts were questioning his 3 pt ability. So Zion set a rookie record for 3pters in their first game. I believe Zion's potential can be unlocked if he is with the right team, the right organization. In the right city.

But now we can hear the fantasy trade proposals, starting with You Know Who. Have to figure people will be throwing RJ's name in there too - personally I wouldn't trade him even up. Based on their careers thus far.

You are both 100 percent right about Zion's lack of discipline, when it comes to hoops. I believe the answer could be as simple as a change of scenery.

I remember when Gooden and Strawberry spent time in Tampa, things would go sideways. As someone who lived there for a while, its not surprising.

I hear New Orleans is a great city, hoping to visit soon. Maybe living there is having the same effect on Zion. only so many things to do. NY, MSG is a different place, the expectations. Zion would know this would be the best place to take the crown. I dont remember hearing stories of Zion being distracted at Duke. He appeared very driven.

I guess every organization and person will have to decide what level of tolerance they will put with. Zion has health issues, so much so team needs to monitor his weight, diet and then also deal with his injuries which have lead head to miss a massive amount of games? Quick guess but Zion has played in less than 40% of his total games possible over 4 years as a 20yo.

On top of that team also needs manage his off court stuff because it is pretty obvious that he either doesn't know how to or doesn't have the right people around him. Ja in the same category.

Bro can sleep with as many women as his baby mama will let him and I don't care but as soon as it hits headlines in the way it did, that's when sponsors and TEAM sponsors start to get involved.

I agree with the health concerns, definitely risk involved. The dating pool is a lot bigger in NY, more celebrities. Im guessing Zion would grow out of it.

I wouldnt want to do a deal if it involved trading RJ. Barrett would make a good role model for Zion. They know each other's game. Would help with team chemistry. Would also be cool to see them on the same team again.

I wouldn't worry about that. I don't know from personally experience, but I think "dibs" I this case would be determined by who hits the ATM first.
