Portland may have the desire to trade the 3 pick for a talented vet, but I don't think they have the tradeable salary to pull it off. Jerami Grant's Sign & Trade is really the only asset they have to add and they would be better off re-signing him before adding. Nurkic makes like 16mm. Basically they need a win now player on a rookie scale contract. They just don't have the salaries to bring back meaningful players.

That leaves sign and trades with Jerami Grant, Thybulle to package with the 3 and/or 23 for help now that is better than just re-signing Jerami Grant and Thybulle. I don't see how they get it done. They have an $8MM trade exception. I can't name a player that moves the needle more than what they would have to give up.

😂 yah, with Leon doing his usual radio silence, i just want to see any knicks offseason movement. Getting frustrated with Randle's playoffs M.I.A. Im willing to give Kuzma a shot.

We havent seen what this particular Knicks team can do in the playoffs. I dont think there is 1 single playoff game the knicks played where everyone played a good to great game. There was always a handful of players missing in every game.

so maybe its not all on Randle? We a young team with little playoff experience.

Seems inconceivable that Philly gets better. They fired a pretty good coach. Harden is not getting better. Embiid was MVP -- will he get better than MVP? If Harden leaves that team is going backwards. Biggest issue would be what would it take to get Embiid if guys like Donovan et al are fetching so many firsts

Portland has similar issue. There is no way they're close to delivering something special for Lillard. They have 1 if not 2 other dynamic guards on that roster right now and might be looking at another in the draft. I know we rehash this point every year, but really it seems different this year. Lillard is a goner and they'll rebuild around Simons, SHarpe, their new pick and the haul they'll get

No puns. This is a serious matter. Jard for a franchise to trust or put all their ammo on a kid making these kind of decisions.

Ja is definitely a better player. Kid can really shoot. If you put a gun to my head I would do the trade. Although JB is a pretty good marksman as well.
