Be aggressive on D and O
Drive, score in the paint
Bully ball RJ
Start Hart
IQ drives
Get bam in foul trouble
Keep up the 2 man center game with Hart and Mitch
Feed randle in the paint
Get obi scoring
Keep legs fresh by using bench
Give McBride run against gabe Vincent
Go at butler - make him work on D and O
Control the boards
Go at Love
Get Mitch involved on offense - lob game is key

We can beat anyone in the league if Quickley and Grimes regain their regular season mojo and everyone else plays as is.

If it wouldn't be such a big deal, I'd say we should start iHart over Robinson.

Stack ranked that list...and added ball movement

Copying my thoughts from another thread.

1) The Knicks must step up their energy and hustle level to match the Heat's
2) Either Grimes or IQ must rediscover their 3 point stroke
3) No more bonehead JRRJ TOs

And of course, no let up from whatever the Knicks are successfully doing so far.

Then again, what if JR's ankle recovers sufficiently during the long pause, and he goes off like Jimmy Butler on Jimmy Butler?

Bigs must avoid early foul trouble. No way Ban should be able to score and rebound on Mitch and Hartenstein.

Free throw shooting has to improve as a team

More production off of bench

Fast break

Be the more aggressive team at start of 3rd quarter

3pt shooting at a higher %

Hold their role players in check.

Bring back dee-fense

Is this a huge break between games?
All three of Randle, JB and Butler going to be healthy for this one?

Where to put RJ on defense is the key.

In crunch time hart will be on butler and Randle on love or bam. Personally I think Randle on Bam works. And RJ on love works. Then put hart and grimes / IQ on the guards giving us the most problems (ex: Vincent).

But last game thibs pulled RJ due to his negative defensive rating. Either the guards were blowing by him or he wasn’t fighting over screen to contest the 3pt shot. Either way he was a negative on defense. When he’s on the floor the heat score more points.

That’s a bold move by thibs eventhough RJ had it going on offense all game. Pay attention to RJ at the start of game 3. I’m curious if moves like this messes with his confidence and impacts his offensive performance which has been solid through out the playoffs.

I think RJ will continue to start off aggressive on offense. Fighting through the screen could result in injury. Best to stay available.

Well not fighting over screens and giving these guards open looks at 3 is how we lost game 1 and almost lost game 2. Not fighting over screens is how RJ got benched in crunch time. So thibs is adjusting and paying attention to whos on their man and who’s not. And that’s how we beat the heat. We gotta defend their 3 pt shot.

With Butler likely back, Spo is keeping the Knicks on their heels a little bit as we have to play a few different styles. One has to ask, how long can Caleb Martin have a 70%+ True Shooting percentage? The Heat are having a long run of perfect execution in the playoffs so far. ITs good preparation an coaching, but some of these guys are playing at unsustainable level as well.

IF we continue to get the Julius Randle who's forays into the paint result in smart kickouts and 6-10 assists, as well as a lot of drawn fouls, we'll be in good shape offensively. Grimes/IQ on offense continue to be enigmas. Both double digit scorers for the Knicks who haven't made much impact in the playoffs. IQ was a streaky player his whole career before we really saw him click offensively in the last few months of the season. Now he seems to be in a weird spot where his minutes are down, the shot isn't falling and he's had a couple of tough turnovers. We know he still contributes on D and hits the boards, but if he can recapture his form, it makes the Knicks a totally different team.

1. Luck
2. Hope Butler sits out or is severely limited with the ankle
3. Hope Vincent has an offgame and doesn't look like Curry 2.0 and hope Straus, Robinson, Martin and Lowry have a bad shooting game from three
4. Hope we get fair zebras and we can hit 75% of our FT's
5. Hope we outrebound them by 10
6. Hope Randle can duplicate what he did in Game 2
7. Hope the rest did well for Brunson and he can drive and play better defense and has another monster game and can hit two threes
8. Hope IQ and Grimes wake up and make shots
9. Hope we can hit ten threes as a team
10. Hope Thibs used this time to come up with a better plan defensively that doesn't allow the cHeat to shoot 30 open threes

Heat are playing with nothing to lose confidence. Knicks have to lighten up a little bit and enjoy the game. Shooting is all about confidence and the Knicks are playing scared. They have to not be afraid to lose and realize there's nothing better in life than sticking it to Riley and Spolestra.

Thibs needs to call a timeout the first time Miami plants a guy in the paint for half the shot clock. Lowry Butler Spo- these guys are all a holes. Just take pleasure in making those guys lose.

Pray that JB is healthy. I heard he sat out or was limited in practice. Sometimes these injuries are worse after games. I’m sure he will play but we need him healthy. Glad to read that Randle is ok with JB as the closer. It’s good to get that on paper. Let’s hope our closer is ready, along with Randle and a confident RJ.
