So, last comment was that the Knicks can keep Brunson and Randle and add two stars using their pile of draft picks and young players. Keeping Barrett can be a goal, but assume that he can be traded for the purposes hereof.

PG/ Brunson
SG/
SF/
PF/ Randle
C/

So, lets assume this summer we make moves

You have:

Barrett
Robinson
IQ
Grimes
Fournier
Toppin
Hart
Sims
McBride

I don't think either of JHart or DRose are tradeable except in a S&T.

Which two "stars" do you think we could trade for that would complement Brunson and Randle the best?

You know I gonna spin wit it

Sabonis isnt.. no way. Jalen Brown and Embiid are possible but those teams do not want to trade their stars to the Knicks, they just dont.

I would KAT, Anthony Davis, Ingram, Lavine and Jimmy Butler would be options. Thing is all these older "stars" are always hurt. I am inclined to keep building around depth (for now) as our young players are pretty good

we already skipped on Donovan... we will see in time if that was the right call or not. I think our FO is far more obsessed with value than they are with splash

Yeah. I'd guess that if Jalen weren't already on team, the decision point would have been different regarding Donovan. Mitchel just wasn't the right fit for the cost at that juncture.

Knicks are most likely targeting C, SF first if they can.

I don’t see superstars like Embiid and J Brown being traded in division. If Knicks are after 2 guys, I can see LaVine and Anunoby. Brunson, LaVine, Anunoby, Randle and Mitch with Quickley and Hart leading the bench. That’s a direction I can see them going, although not sure what the ceiling is.

Lavine aint it. I don't want us to trade just for sake of trading. High value targets or no trade.

I think the value in acquiring LaVine is if the price is discounted. I don’t see a team making a big offer for him, but his fit is potentially better here than d Mitchell was because LaVine is a bigger guard and a decent man to man defender. For most star players, or even a Anunoby level player, the price seems like many unprotected picks and swaps.

I don't even think OG is good enough to be worth investing in for his quoted price. The way I see it is how many more wins would each of these players bring to our team?

I dont understand how OG Anunobody carries a Durant pricetag. If he was that good Toronto would he over .500. Buyer beware.

I think LaVine brings more wins particularly when Randle is off or Brunson is out. He picks up the scoring slack. Anunoby more-so raises the floor as opposed to the ceiling. But neither is a sure thing over just staying the course.

Why would Toronto or Boston give the Knicks Brown &/or Anunoby?

SGA maybe but does he fit here with Brunson with ball in his hands and IQ off bench?

I’d love Brown —- we may have to settle for someone like LaVine

If he were to stay healthy for 2-3 years the perfect guy is Jimmy B because….

1 unselfish star
2 Thibs guy
3 Fits this teams culture
4 gets to line and refs respect him
5 may be cheaper vs other stars

Question would be why would Pat the Rat send him to NY

That's par for the course for every player who may be desired?
