![]() Tweet was deleted or there was problem with the URL: Listening to this podcast and Nate has Randle in the tier below Giannis. They don't include guys like KD, Kawhi, AD who are listed at other positions. His partner, Danny Leroux, had Randle high on the tier below. I think their description of Randle's defense was off mark. Danny dinged Randle for his inability to guard on an island, which I don't is the case. Randle does have the ability to guard the perimeter and switch. It's his consistency that is the problem. The guys they talked about include Lauri, JJJ, Draymond, Pascal, Randle, Zion, Evan Mobley. Zion is a special case. He's clearly above these guys when he plays. But he rarely plays. They also have Pascal edging Randle. I think this close and could either way honestly. How would you guys rank the league's power forwards? Always... always remember: Less is less. More is more. More is better and twice as much is good too. Not enough is bad, and too much is never enough except when it's just about right.

![]() It’s a tough position, particularly when you add in hybrids. Randle has been healthier than most, and that has to count for something. Randle is having a hell of a season. If you start discounting talent in favor of actually playing in games, you have an argument for 2nd team All NBA.
1) Giannis You know I gonna spin wit it

Personally, I excluded guys like Durant, Davis, George, Kawhi and Sabonis 5his season because I didn't consider them PFs, but hybrids. I don't have Kat that high this season because of the availability issue. Also, he's putrid on defense. Always... always remember: Less is less. More is more. ![]() Durability is something not factored in major awards. I find it laughable that Giannis and Embiid are among the top contenders and have missed 20% or so of their games.
I suppose it’s worth noting that at least in some stats, they still have higher totals than Randle (for example, Jokic has many more assists in spite of fewer games. Thinking in terms of all NBA teams, it’d be remiss if the voters didn’t factor games played. This year, I’d say: These next guys have missed in the neighborhood of 10-15% of their games. “That was two, two from the heart.” - John Starks

![]() I mean, if you...
A.) Win the NBA's Most Improved Player Award during the same season you... B.) Led New York Knicks to the Playoffs for the 1st time in 7 years while... C.) Making an NBA All-Star Game 2/3 years @ only 26 & 28 years old? 🚨ALONG WITH NBA HISTORY?🚨 Julius Randle's the 1st Player within NBA History to (ever) Record within the same single season... 🔹1,800+ Points Those numbers (with still another 10 games remaining) don't even look, REAL. His 2022-2023 All-Star Season is (much) better than 2020-2021's All-Star year within just about every single statistical category known to 🏀 mankind. He's 100% a top 1-2 NBA PF. Greek Freak plays 50% of his NBA Career @ PF. If the Knicks advance deep into the Playoffs? Julius Randle's 2022-2023 season goes down as both better than Melo's 2012-2013 and also an All-Time Legendary Knicks season what this guy is doing to the NBA @ 28 is incredible. No way 2022-2023 Knicks are a tank team without Jalen Brunson. Not with Julius Randle playing this insane. If 2019-2020 made Playoffs so would 2022-2023. Jalen Brunson is what makes us true NBA CONTENDERS alongside of Julius Randle. |

![]() Only 5 Knicks (within 77 years of NYC Franchise History) have ever scored 2,000+ Points (during the same season).
And Julius Randle is on the verge of becoming only the 6th (to ever do it for us). 1.) Patrick Ewing = 2x. 1989-1990 (2,347 Points) and 1990-1991 (2,154 Points). 2.) Richie Guerin = 1x. 1961-1962 (2,303 Points). 3.) Carmelo Anthony = 1x. 2013-2014 (2,112 Points). 4.) Bob McAdoo = 1x. 1977-78. (2,097 Points). 5.) Bernard King = 1x. 1983-1984 (2,027 Points). Julius Randle is currently @ 1,812 Points. With another 10 freaking games to go! He's currently averaging 25.2 Points Per Game. If Julius Randle averages his current average of 25.2 Points Per Game? During the next 10 Games? 2,064 (5th All-Time!!!!!) I'm personally hoping he scores another 301 Points to pass MELO 3rd All-Time @ 30.1 PPG (might just happen). I wanted to create a thread about this but I don't myself. Nah. Not yet man. Gotta wait until the night he breaks that 2,000+ Point Record (ANY DAY NOW) |
