When the Suns **** the bed and start trading everything... any takers?

Its goona cost some of the bench guys for sure

Agree, doesnt have to work as hard as Mitchell to dominate. In part because he's a bigger guard.

I don't rank him that high, but I agree about his value. He should have even more value because I think more teams would be interested. At his size, If think a lot of teams could comfortable plug him into their lineups.

Briggs doesnt work with the whole story and all the facts. Take a look at his contract.. he's got a super max deal paying him $50-$60mm and that is certainly part of the player's "value" and what would make him attainable. He's a couple years removed from being a chucker on a bad team. He's a top tier scorer for sure

If the Suns are not very good moving that type of future salary for legit assets makes a ton of sense for them, especially when you get exciting fan friendly player like Obi Toppin back.

For the Garden it doesnt matter... sure looks like the type of balanced roster with tons of firepower that getting deep in the playoffs each year

I have him as a higher ranked SG and as a better fit size wise. Mitchell is off the table and I would have loved to have him, but I preferred Mitchell as a PG with that wingspan (and I thought he did better there for Utah).

Love the idea of Booker now. No offense to anyone on this team, but there are no players that are untouchable if Booker was available. It comes down to a question of how much.

I also would keep an eye on Mikal Bridges.

If the team is on the market I doubt they make big moves. The idea is to keep revenue up and make deep run in playoffs.
PHX core is strong. They might need some tweeks. I doubt they go deep to the tank.
In fact while it would have been a strong thing to think Ayton is traded after january, I doubt with the owership in flux.
Booker is a star attraction. That means he fills the bag.
If you blow it up, start with CP3.
I like RJ better than Bridges. I love Booker as our two.

Mikal would fill a huge hole on this roster. He truly fits in the 'beauty is in the eye of the beholder' slot. His value is hard to nail down on the open market. If OG is any indcator you're looking at least 1 to 2 unprotected firsts.

What was proposed we trade for Mitchell I thought was terrible for us. For Booker, no problem.

Yep, Booker just makes more sense from a roster standpoint. I will say, I feel Spida is a better offensive engine. But that's negated by the amount of work needed to build a roster around him.

These Phoenix dream trade scenarios are clearly fantasy. Pretty sure we all know this.

I think the Booker comment is only where he demands a trade. Much like the Mitchell situation. Utah had a pretty good W-L last year. I would not have predicted that blow up either.

In terms of Mikal Bridges, I think they are solving the Cam Johnson/Mikal Bridges minutes issue by eliminating Jae Crowder.

When his name first came up, they had Johnson slotted behind Bridges for 16mm less per year.


Unclear whether they can carry 31/36/22/[18?]/33 as their starting lineup salary alone next year. Its an amazing starting 5 that I would love to have and pay for, but they have next to nothing on the roster after that next year. Paul's salary isn't fully guaranteed and they are holding some exceptions, but they may have to move something around budget wise.

Booker's bigger and significantly a much better defensive presence. All moot though I assume.

I like to think if we don't move these picks we get a Booker/Mitchell type in the draft that others missed on.
Its why you draft a Trevor Keels and take risks in the second round. True 19 year old with nice offensive game. Have to get him NBA ready and play off the ball.
Can't see that don't mean it won't or can't happen. We can only imagine.
Fan Fav Deuce is in this camp. Getting that offensive game to the NBA level is his task. Put him and Keels in a blender you'll have a good young player!!!

Booker is approaching top 10 status. A couple retirements and he will be a top 10 mainstay, imo. I'd break the bank for him.

It would depend on what else is left on the roster. You might be looking at Melo all over again and while agree, Booker is a top 20 player, he's not good enough to singlehandedly carry a team to the playoffs.
