![]() Trading #11 sucks. All this is based on them making mistakes last off-season, but you got to assume they did the calculations and realized that Brunson would be better than anyone they could take at #11. Then to their credit got draft assets along with cap space. Not every team is able to do that.

If they ever play Cam is another story. Front office needs to stipulate to Thibs how his job depends on giving Cam steady minutes for the first half of the season. |

![]() I wouldn't make huge assumptions based on a couple of summer league games. We're building a roster, not pick-and-play players at a position we don't need

![]() Briggs summer league regret. No matter how many times we tell ourselves these guys are suppose to look better than the others.
Brunson was obtained vs. Williams. Lets see how it shakes out. Remember we have IQ in development. |

![]() Josh Selby and Glen Rice Jr. were Summer League MVPs so don't take these games that seriously.

![]() If we didnt solidify the PG spot, I would wonder if that was the best we can do in the offseason. Looks like we're going to sign a PG, other teams would have been interested in. If he really had tested the market. And do it apparently without having to give up picks. Thats a big deal IMO.
The second year players in SL looked good. Its SL, but the best part is that they knew their roles. |

![]() Well its a gamble sure, but it’s one i would have liked to see us make.
Everyone regrets our not taking donovan but i don’t remember a single person on this board having said - let's gamble on taking him at 8 Imo williams does everything that people criticize rj for not doing. We could have had a year to see if they jell together, if williams is the keeper and we s&t rj for a bundle or the other way around. Plus our very resourceful FO could have sought other venues to free up brunson money. Or i could be wrong and we’ll be proven smart for having passed on him. The guessing game is the fun of our talking s**t on this board |

![]() Clearly the mistake was not getting Tari Eason. 14 pts 13 Rebs from the SF slot. Exactly what he is supposed to be. Energy guy that doesn’t need the ball to be effective. Shooting was meh (6/17) but man the guy brings energy and hustle. There a few guys available at 11 that will make us look bad for trading out.
You know I gonna spin wit it

They’ve both been good but there’s no doubt in my mind Williams is not only better but a better fit for our team.Thibs would’ve liked the defensive versatility and he’s been probably the most efficient wing player to n offense that I’ve seen. It’s all about talent/ fit combo. He would’ve been perfect. My guess is we have these extra picks to do a deal for Mitchell. Not sure it’s the best fit but we have too many picks — has to be something to it RIP Crushalot😞

![]() Saw some solid D in the video, but nothing outstanding on offense...everything shot was at the basket. Didn't see any kind of special moments which make him stick out, not in these highlights, anyway. No amazing burst of speed or handle evident.
Three seasons of college ball, and he's 2+years older than Keel, who turns 19 in August. Where might Keel have been drafted if he had played 3 years at Duke and come out at age 20, assuming he lost his baby fat & got in shape? Williams' first year was somewhat similar to the 1 year Keel spent with Duke, BTW. There are three classes of men; lovers of wisdom, lovers of honor, and lovers of gain. (Plato)

![]() Was waiting for this thread to start. Surprised it took Briggs this long. With the “we shouldve” or “ I told u so”
Keep in mind Deuce dominated the gleague and look what that got him. Thigs ain’t playing no rookies. Stop it. But he will play Brunson who’s better than pick 11 and cam will get more PT especially since we traded a 1st for him. It’s unfortunate for a coach who everybody calls great, but you have to force him to play certain players by reducing the veteran roster count and giving him no choice. With rookies it’s easy for him to sit them and say wait your turn. But Brunson and now cam are players he has to play, because they are FO moves. Cam has to justify that 1st we gave up to get him, so he will get some PT. That Williams dude would’ve been sent str8 to the gleague. Born in Brooklyn, Raised in Queens, Lives in Maryland.
