We missed the absolute perfect diverse player for us jalen Williams. He destroyed Jabari smith on defense last night. He’s shot over 60 efg in sl and has played really well at all 3 levels. We can’t make 5 draft picks next year and I’m gonna doubt we find a better player than this.

Plus they have Cam who may be better then most players drafted in top ten this draft. If they ever play Cam is another story. Front office needs to stipulate to Thibs how his job depends on giving Cam steady minutes for the first half of the season.

Yep, we've being going through each stage of the annual BRIGGS cycle:

-fixate on a rookie we have no intention on drafting and aren't linked to in any report
-start multiple threads about how we must draft him as if the Knicks front office reads this board
-convinces himself we're going to draft him
-meltdown when we don't draft him
-watch one game of summer league before making final conclusions on the player we drafted and the one we didn't
-if the player does well announce they are a star and create endless threads saying how we should have drafted them
-if the player does badly, never mention them again and hope no one remembers (see Wiseman, Nesmith etc)

Three seasons of college ball, and he's 2+years older than Keel, who turns 19 in August. Where might Keel have been drafted if he had played 3 years at Duke and come out at age 20, assuming he lost his baby fat & got in shape?

Williams' first year was somewhat similar to the 1 year Keel spent with Duke, BTW.

Keep in mind Deuce dominated the gleague and look what that got him.

Thibs ain’t playing no rookies. Stop it. But he will play Brunson who’s better than pick 11 and cam will get more PT especially since we traded a 1st for him.

It’s unfortunate for a coach who everybody calls great, but you have to force him to play certain players by reducing the veteran roster count and giving him no choice. With rookies it’s easy for him to sit them and say wait your turn. But Brunson and now cam are players he has to play, because they are FO moves. Cam has to justify that 1st we gave up to get him, so he will get some PT. That Williams dude would’ve been sent str8 to the gleague.
