Think we can all agree these guys will be off the board:
Chet Holmgren
Jabari Smith
Paolo Banchero
Jaden Ivey
Keegan Murray
AJ Griffin
Shaedon Sharp

That brings us to 8-10 and after the above top 2 tiers the rest is a real crap shoot. I see a lot of really good players we will have a chance to draft one 11.

Here's who I have as BPA:

Bennedict Mathurin
Johnny Davis
Tari Eason
Mark Williams

Mathurin will surely be gone, but the next 3 have that blend of size/skill/athleticism that are too hard to pass on.

That leaves Davis, Eason and Williams on my card and I would be happy with any 3.

Davis looked great vs. Ivey is just a player

Eason makes Briggs all warm on the inside so he must be good

Very few players in the world have Williams size and athleticism. Even if we resign Mitch we have seen over and over again we need a quality 2nd center. Noel never players and Simms has a lot to prove and doesnt have Williams size.

Who else you guys got?

None of us seem too excited about him but Jeremy Sochan is likely in the mix. Can also see a trade back with us taking Jalen Williams or Tyty Washington. But no lottery picks for centers please.

I've been leaning Mark Williams honestly.

7'2, 7'7 wingspan, good build, 72% from ft, not foul prone, athletic freak. DOPY potential

There should be good options at 11
https://ballarelife.com/history-of-the-number-11-draft-pick-in-the-nba/

Fans tend to find faults with all picks even at the top of the draft, but historically this is an OK spot

AJ Griffin has been mocked to us numerous times; i would not put him in the no way bucket.

WHy did you leave off the OSU sg, Branham? he has been talked about a lot too.

M.Williams has me intrigued but only if he can guard the perimeter too. Size, of course, suggests some Rudy Gobert abilities

(Frankly i am very wary of OSU and Duke -- too many instances of someone underwhelming)

I don't have specific picks but am hoping the FO is prioritizing brains and heart -- we need some true alphas (not ass holes), relentless never say die competitors who don't choke. I also sort of agree with the USA link that #11 seems like a nice slot to get a shooter -- probably one criticized in some way that later proves exaggerated

Disclaimer- I watch effectively 0 college basketball, but the one player I liked because he reminded me of another Briggs crush Naz Reid is David McCormack.

He is likely undrafted, so - I will go with the other Jayhawk who is in this same range of picks, Ochai Agbaji.

Nice senior, so hopefully more able to step in and contribute right away - looks like his outside shooting improved every year - that is a wonderful trait.

Could he become a Thibs PG? Could he out play Grimes and earn minutes behind Fournier?

the more I read about him, the more I like him:

WASHINGTON -- Kansas guard Ochai Agbaji was the best player on the national championship team, he shot 40.7% from three at a high volume (6.5 3PA/g), he has a plus wingspan (6-foot-10) and recorded the fourth-highest vertical leap at this year's combine (39 inches.). All those traits suggest he should be a high pick in this year's NBA Draft.

I would add Branham to the list. Seems like high upside scorer with a 3 & D floor.

sure... and if they took him over the other guys you know we scout pretty well so that would make him even more intriguing

Of guys off the board or guys who will be available? I think Dyson is gone by the time pick 11 comes along, though there's been some whisper from draft guys that his J hasn't been as effective in workouts.

Daniels looks too much like a role player at best to me... someone like Jared Jefferies or Evan Turner. Feels like the guys who do tons of things well but dont have elite or at least high end shooting/athleticism/size tend to really underwhelm

I think you should also put Jeremy Sochan on the list of guys who will probably be available. Not much distance between him and Eason IMHO

See Daniels, Mathurin in top 8. Think some have Sharpe too high.
Have Dieng, Agbaji probably going in top 10.

Davis seems to be talked about being a good pick for us. Think Williams, Eason, Sochan, Branham, Davis, Duren and Sharpe will all be available at 11.

I like Davis of those. But hoping Agbaji is also available.

Sharpe is the wildcard of this draft... only way I see him dropping to 11 is if he had some really bad workout(s) and or some injury rumor pops... at face value he's a specimen

True. Have seen him as high as 5 on some mocks and as low as 12 on others.
Think at the end of the day some may see him as too big of a risk as a top 10 given he did not play last year. However, think anything is possible after pick #4 since most feel the talent level is pretty even and there is no clear guarantee. Does make it hard to predict who will go where. Many of the so called experts/mock drafts seem to be making predictions based on perceived need, rumored interest or workouts recently held.

A few of the mocks have us picking Davis. Seems like he fits. Curious to see if moving up to get Ivey is true. Would probably cost us someone we don't want to see go. Or will Rose make his favorite move and trade back for multiple picks?

Whatever happens, think it will give some sign on what Rose plans on doing in FA.

SHarpe and Holmgren should both scare the pants off FOs for different reasons

Is Chet a new version of KD or Shawn Bradly/KP??? 82 games against much bigger more athletic people.

Sharpe being a specimen. So was DSJ and a a host of others. Are you looking at another but different version of Kobe or some guy who was too chicken to test himself against top competition

i also expect San ANtonio and pick someone that everyone else says was way too early or who the heck is he.

should be fun to see it unfold

Dyson is the one guy you have to believe his shooting form is good enough and that he just needs reps to make sure his shooting %'s will be OK long term to draft him with confidence.

I wouldn't pay too much attention to his GLeague stats, just too much noise there.
