He doesn’t bring enough to the table to make a difference and to be given a big contract. He is a liability in today’s NBA. He can’t shoot outside of 5 feet from the basket. |

If anything Knicks should look for a skilled big man in the draft not PG. they have PG but we have a nut bag for a coach who has no assessment ability for his own damn roster. I give credit to Danny Ainge. He’s built 3 championship teams. These r his guys. Also I think Peyton Pritchard is gonna be the next Steve Nash. They have two stars with size brown Tatum They have hybrid big players in g Williams and r Williams two mobile bigs in thesis and Horford and then the DOP in smart. It’s a big team with depth and talent. Golden state played with bigger guys the first run This time around they are a tad smaller still with three hybrid bigs and then superstar wings all over the floor. Some real fancy nba teams for sure RIP Crushalot😞

Mitchell has led the team in win shares every season he has played by a considerable margin. He was 13th in the league last season. I get how the "eye test" would find it hard to believe he was the 13th most impactful player in the league but that's why we have stats. |

And I can't stand people who slam Mitch cause he can't shoot 3pters. Or a mid range shot. Because Mitch is exactly how old and been playing professional ball for how long? He has improved every year, and I expect at some point he will develop a shot- hopefully a mid range shot like Camby had or perhaps a 3 pter like Taj Gibson. My biggest question about Mitch is does he live and breath basketball like other great players- and while he is not Michael Jordanesque, he showed during the year that he could grab rebounds in traffic with tenacity. He is a keeper. Why create holes that we don't need to? The money we pay Mitch isn't going to stop us from signing anyone else. We're at the cap, we'll be over when we start having to pay RJ, Cam, IQ and others. Losing him for nothing would be stupid. |

MitchRob's talent belongs on a Playoff team (The same as Jarrett Allen's talent). The New NBA has the majority of the NBA league teams trying to play Small-ball rotation throughout the regular season. Which gave 50 win seasons to the few Big-Man teams in the league like Philly, Bucks, Heats, and Celtics. The Old NBA had all sorts of teams having several different type of identities .. Big-ball, small-ball, fast-ball, halfcourt-ball, above the rim ball, or perimeter ball to win their games .. |

Noel was able too as well. we don't know that yet. It would have been nice if we could have locked him up longer term, but with his injuries, an absolute concern about his long term viability. I think his play this year answered those questions and I hope he gets paid. |

The Knicks are built the same way. Cam Reddish, Obi, Randle and RJB. Mitch, Noel and Simms. Only thing is the Knicks bigs can’t spread the floor or have mid range that Horford has. That’s why if we can get a better shooting floor spacer for a big. The smaller guys will be able to operate better. Right now the lane gets clogged. As Mitches defender is always near the basket not respecting his shot. |

You had me at "Resigning Mitch" but then you had to throw "asinine Randle" contract. Mitch will probably look to get a 4 year $15M per contract despite limited offensive game and fragile injury history.Randle had many years of production and had an All Star year. Do hope we sign Mitch and also hoped he would have been extended. However, maybe a team like the Warriors would be a better fit. Teams that can afford to have a Center that is just a slasher and can protect the rim. Do not know if that is the case for the the Knicks. Who may not be able to afford a player who costs so much but may not be on the floor or who is, to this point, quite limited on the offensive end. Do love his defense though. Definitely will be interesting to see what Knicks decide. 'Knicks focus should be on players that have grown up playing soccer or cricket' - Triplethreat 8/28/2020

That’s why Randle has made the playoffs once in 8 nba seasons |
