Maybe nyk brass feels going forward knicks are
worse off without Mitch & Julius than with them.
Both still has youth on their side, at a price $$$

Despite being the mob's whipping boy, I perceive it more likely that Randle stays in New York. Unless he demands a trade or one appears that benefits the Knicks, the current FO doesn't strike me as one to sell low. Randle took a step back and his attitude was a bit weird, but he was still productive and didn't commit any crimes as far as i know. In an organization focused on value, it would seem they would be more inclined to work with him and get him back to an all star level. Sorry, mob.

Mitch I feel is more iffy -- depends on price right? But it looks like they would prefer to keep him.

Just thoughts -- who knows?

This is correct, but I think they keep Mitch. Many teams need a starting center these days, as would we if we let him walk for free. He's got value.

I agree about Randle, but I’m also thinking Toppin may factor into this. They can sell low and sell it on Toppin being the reason, but otherwise I see him staying.

I said this in another thread- trade Obi and our pick (12) to get into the top four for someone like Ivey.

The talent is there for Ivey but I'm not sure if he's a PG, SG or a combo. If he has the PG capacity, I'd offer pick 12, Obi or IQ and the future protected Dallas 1st.

Randle will be traded.

Mitch will go to the highest bidder.

We have Obi.

We have Sims and there are some good centers in the draft.

This draft is not weak.

We will be good next year if RJ, IQ and Obi improve. That’s our core.

If Randle is back and Thibs is still stalking the sidelines, there's a good chance our 8th pick in the draft will be slotted for 12-18 mins per for the 3rd year in a row. If that's the case, this front office has seriously mismanaged their lotto pick if we are sitting here in the summer of 2023 with the same unanswered questions that we have about Obi, going into year 4.

Not saying to trade Julius for a bag of deflated Spaldings, but I am hopeful we find a reasonable deal and get him out of here before the start of next season.

And I'm not sure that gets it done. There's a good chance Ivey rises into the top 3. Is Kevin Porter Jr. stopping Houston from drafting Ivey? You can make the case that Orlando passes on Ivey due to their young guard glut. Detroit could take Ivey too. None of those teams would get moved by an RJ deal. If you're hoping for any team to deal with it's probably OKC now. I can see them willing to play, but they are going to want to violate the Knicks in a potential trade.

I hear that every draft. There are guys out there who can play. Unfortunately, the PG class this year is weak.

maybe- and that is me using the eye test. Obi looks like he can be a legit talent. Ivey may or may not be. If I am Portland or another team- I may have more holes to fill. Maybe I am swapping my pick, Obi and Dallas's pick. Again, I am only saying maybe we keep Randle and leverage Obi's value (never higher) to fill a position of need from excess.

I’d do that in a heartbeat but I doubt any team with a top 3 pick will be interested
