There is no evidence that says Zion wants to be knick. Nothing. All we got is he is a bit odd and not all in verbally and stupid about his media quotes. That might be telling, or not.
Maybe he wants to play in LA? Or Miami? Maybe they don’t want him.
Dukies? I have read the “brotherhood” thing was cool, but does that mean a life long thing to play with them as a pro? Maybe RJ is cool with having his team and don’t want the fat guy in and out? Reddish still has yet to earn his wage and be secure. His carreer is kind of important than being with some buds he spend less than one year with.
IM not ruling it out. I don’t know what Nola wants. They have a lot of picks. They have yoot. Doing a one for three plus picks? Maybe a three way gives them a better player than Randle to impliment? how do you sell that to the fan base?
Is Nola really long for its team or do they bolt to Seattle or Vegas in a few years? The lease expires in 2024.
The move there by George Shinn was a short term cash move by a derelict owner at that time. It was a bad move by the NBA. Perhaps fueled by sympathy after Katrina.
Gayle Benson might mean well and it may hurt them as they own the Saints, but Nola as a hoop town is not the same as seattle’s demographic or what could be in Vegas.
Zion is a curiosity and a draw. You resign him and promise to move him down the road if no moves are made. Win-win.
If you think he is a phat Phuck and injury prone you trade him sooner than later. If thats the case why do we want him?
His leverage is he comes back this seasons, makes a splash in playoffs. Then get to 260lbs and demonstrates a vegan maturity and commitment to his craft, then tells NOLA he out and he is willing to accept the risk of walking. Thats his leverage but he has to create it.
I don’t mind paying up for him but I want to know what Im buying. If not its a different kind of risk that comes with a different type of price.
