![]() After letting it known that Randle is trying to be traded now the rest of the oldies (kemba, Evan and Burks) is being shopped as well. Ideally all four players should be traded but realistically i wont be surprised if by the time the deadline passes none or at most only Burks is traded.
I think the only way these players get traded is if the FO is willing to attach good players like IQ or Grimes. |

![]() I expect the Knicks to wait and see if anyone makes a decent offer for Randle and just ship him out. Similar to what they did with KP where the goal was expediency over getting more assets in a bidding war. I think picks or young players get it done. I don’t see them paying for him to leave either. We aren’t a contender so him being bad isn’t costing them a playoff run.
I don’t think they openly shop him until the summer, teams would have to come to them. By trading Fournier and Kemba now, maybe he won’t pout like a child and put in effort again. The algorithm gives and the algorithm takes away

IMO, Randle should be the first domino to fall.... |

![]() we keep adding more and more to this with no facts.
Perhaps it all makes sense but perhaps this is RJ’s team and its a chemistry thing. We are making it like he found success and went from “we here” goodness to a lazy malcontent. |

![]() Knicks are more or less capped out for the next two seasons because of the deals signed last summer. I think Noel, Kemba, and Fournier for Westbrook is a deal that works. The Knicks are missing moxie and Westbrook brings it in loads. For LA, they are basically trading Westbrook for Fournier with some outside chance that Kemba and Noel can give them something. Noel's lawsuit might be a stumbling block.
Maybe Knicks go full Orlando and try to unload everyone while we reset around IQ Barrett Reddish Topping and Robinson. It seems like that plan is riskier than hoping Randle turns it around over the next 3 years. |

I also still believe in EF. I think his best position would be 6th man of the bench with the young guys. He will do better when he is more than a spot up shooter waiting for the Randle pass at the end of the shot clock. We will get burned by his defense less. It will hurt less when he has a bad offensive night. Start Grimes in his place. Grimes will have his hardships because he is still young and even though he is in the rotation now he still has not played much in general this season. Trading Burks and Kemba will fix rotations until Rose comes back. Then things get tight again. How will we slot a spot for Cam? I am not high on Cam but we need to give him a chance to show what he's got because time for a contract extension is coming soon. This is probably the main reason why the FO is forcing Thibs to play younger players. |

Your not trading him for draft picks, or dumping him, that would be silly. Should I mention how many times we struck out in FA with a billion dollars in cap space. ES

Fournier may be a different scenario if you are talking about trading him 1-for-1 because of his contract but I don't think the Knicks want to trade him (by attaching an asset) just to get rid of him. The Knicks are NOT trading IQ/Grimes in that scenario. Those 2 aren't going out unless there is a major upgrade in the process. The Knicks don't need to offload players by attaching assets, they can just sit them if they want. Kemba, Burks may have value to a team that wants to dump a contract of a player that is hurt this year or is literal dead weight or if they are desperate to fill out the bench. That's the situation Kemba, Burks or Evan are going out. For instance, if the Lakers think they can go deep playoffs and want to be all in, maybe they think about moving Talen Horton-Tucker who is not playing very well and they think Burks is an upgrade for them. I don't really know that player but it's that type of trade that may happen. Official sponsor of the PURE KNICKS LOVE Program

![]() The only obvious trade out there would be for Fox. Something like Randle and Burks for Fox. But otherwise moving Randle creates more problems than it solves. It’s nice thinking about handing the keys to Barrett, but he needs someone to take the pressure off of him. And Toppin isn’t ready to fill those shoes, especially without an elite playmaking PG. For fans who want to turn over the PF position to Toppin, it’s only feasible if he has an engine pushing the pace to bring out his best abilities. Otherwise he will be lost in a close game, and get his stats in blowouts where the game is looser. Randle can go 1-10 from the field with 6 TOs and still serve value to Barrett as the attention will remain on him in a way that no one else on this team deserves.
