And just when I thought we were going to go on a serious run; we've now lost 3 consecutive games (two + down by 24 @ home heading into the 4th Q vs. a trash Pelicans team).
I'll still watch every single game but I won't be posting as much anymore and wasting my energy on this team and no I won't be bumping up my stupid Eastern Conference Standings thread any time soon (because the best we can do is play for a play in).
I apologize to UK for my homerism this year + my idiotic 60 wins thread. After 20 years of Knicks darkness I wanted to use this team as an excuse to become fired up about NYC basketball again; but I was wrong.
If NYK wants to save NYKMENTALITY they better come from behind down 24 in the 4th Q and win because if not? I'll join team tank and let the MSG boo birds sing.
We all been there. Take the ball and go home.
Diva moment.
Knicks no good enough for your efforts and not your offended.
Im a life long fan and “winning” is not a prerequisite to my fandom.
I keep my equilibrium thru experience. I’ll share:
Spring of 1994. My second child born in April. Playoffs start. We go to finals. Im really into it. WE home a lot wit the baby. Knicks lose. It hurt. Next day I had to get up, go to work, put food on the table and take care of my young family. Had knicks won, same thing.
Whats the point? Winning is cool but im not winning. losing sucks, but im not losing. i might post here, maybe contribute, maybe troll lazy posters for making **** up, but Im not expecting anything i return from knicks or the UK. You seem to be. Your lists, your rah-rah… go team thing is about you? Your fandom need to be reciprocal? Its transactional to the outcome?
No doubt losing sucks. We are burnt out as fans. 3 game losing streak after good wins vs. hawks and Dallas!
Feels bad.
Take you ball and go home. Don’t sweat it, we ain’t going anywhere and likely neither are you. Door is alway open.
