Big game for our Knicks tonight because we're the only Eastern Conference team playing (outside of Indiana) meaning that a win will gain us .5 vs. every team ahead of us (within a jam packed Eastern Conference).

tonight's game is important for my diabolical master plan:

one of the other threads was discussing Randle for De'aron Fox. That's a complicated question. If Randle 2022 were the same player as Randle 2021 i'd say hell no. but he's not. But then again last i looked Fox 2022 is not the player of 2021 either so it's an interesting question

But now consider this: tonight is an opportunity for RJ and Cam to schmooze up Zion and see if he can force his way to NYC and join the party. If Zion is in on that action, then yes let's trade Randle

You're welcome!

No point of trading for Zion Williamson. Right now he's damn near 300 lbs and hasn't played one single game this year.

Just wait for Free Agency.

In the meantime? Let Zion Williamson re-gain his High School and Duke playing form while letting New Orleans develop him (for NYC).

It's going to happen but no need to trade for it. Because patience is the key to virtue.

C: Mitchell Robinson.
PF: Julius Randle.
SF: Zion Williamson.
2G: Cam Reddish.
PG: R.J. Barrett.

Fk it. Give R.J. Barrett the keys to the car @ PG.

And surround Kentucky Julius Randle alongside of these 3 Duke Blue Devils and watch out.

First off, Julius will be gone by the trade deadline. You heard it here first.

Secondly, Zion is in no way a 3 and Cam is in no way a 2. Neither can defend those positions.

Mitch will be gone as well. If I were the Knicks, I wouldn’t even rely on Zion. That’s just bad business in all ways. Instead, trade Randle for Sabonis. Get Jalen Brunson. See what you can do with Mitch. We are MUCH better off here.

Mitch
Sabonis
Cam? Maybe?
RJ (if he can be consistentish)
Brunson

Very solid lineup.

He's nearing 300lbs and your plan is to stick him at SF? Guess it works in 2k!

Zion's a lemon. Even if the price was good, he's a lemon. Don't trust him at all to not go the way of Michael Sweetney/Eddy Curry. Knee injuries, foot injuries, weight issues, for a guy who's game is solely based on athleticism? He supposed to spread the floor?

His 300lb-ness is part of the master plan

if he was 250 and killing it (a) we'd never get him and (b) if we did we'd have to give up like 5 first rounders

By playing the bust, we don't need ot give as much

zion did not look happy on lottery night going to NO. this is all coming together

I think Sabonis is a center, no matter where he's played in the past. While it might work on the offensive end, the defense would be a crap show. I think a Sabonis, Harrison Barnes type could work with Mitch off the bench, if he is retained. Of course, Thibs might drop dead from the shock of coaching a team with so little rim protection.

I'd never want him @ SF or any other position while @ close to 300 lbs and I clearly mentioned how I wouldn't want him unless he resigned his HS and NCAA playing form.

And I obviously don't want to trade for him either. Which is why I mentioned A.) Letting New Orleans develop hin over the years and B.) Go after him as a FA (If he gets his life and playing career back on track).

He's a FA after the 2023 season (at only 24 years old); and that's when I'll begin to (hopefully) dream of Zion Williamson in NYC.

Because when he's on the court he's an absolute man child of a beast mode ala career 25.7 points, 7.2 rebounds and 3.2 assists per game @
. 604 FG% from the field and an amazing Player Efficiency Rating of 26.3 (for being only 19 and 20 years old during his Rookie and 2nd NBA season).

And I was just kidding about R.J. Barrett @ PG, Julius Randle at PF and Zion Williamson at SF because come his Free Agency it'll be time to say good bye to Julius Randle and hello to Zion Williamson at his natural position of PF.

C: Mitchell Robinson.
PF: Zion Williamson.
SF: Cam Reddish.
SG: R.J. Barrett.

We could then be an elite PG away from perennial Championship Contenders.

I'll tell you what. I'm really pulling for Zion Williamson to get right physically because if so, there is no doubt in my mind; he wants NYC.

How much you willing to bet? 😁

I won't bet you online but I can and will guarantee you that Julius Randle will 100% not be traded at the deadline 😅

I still think 'Pelicans' is such a dumb name.

Gotta get this one at home! We got a brutal 3 game road trip next week where we'll likely go 0-3. Randle and RJ need to bring it!

No chance we trade Randle unless we get a better player in return and Sabonis ain't it.
