I miss Linsanity. It was the best time I ever had as a Knick fan. The next day after games everyone in NY was buzzing and talking about the game. I watched each of those games like 10 times. I was too young during the 1999 finals run so I was extremely casual. I mostly was a H20 fan. I sadly became a hardcore fan at the start of the Starbury era, so all I know is misery.

Having a NBA starting level PG. Since Marbury (2007)

2008 Chris Duhon/Nate Robinson
2009 Chris Duhon/Toney Douglas
2010 Chauncy Billups(21 games)/Felton (v1) (54 games)
2011 Toney Douglas/corpse of Mike Bibby/ *Lin for 21 games*
2012 Fatter Felton/Pablo (does Kidd count?)
2013 Felton/Pablo
2014 Calderon/Langston Galloway
2015 Calderon/Galloway
2016 Derrick Rose (version 1)/Brandon Jennings
2017 Jarrett Jack/Mudiaye/Trey Burke
2018 Mudiaye/Burke/Ntilikina
2019 Elfrid Payton/Ntilikina/DSjr
2020 Payton/Derrick Rose (v2)/Ntilikina

The starting PG that was above average on this list was Lin for the 20 magical games.
Other than that, honorable mention to Billups for the short time he was here, Felton v1 for half a season, and Derrick Rose v2 for being fantastic in his role as backup.
That's a sad, sad list of PGs. We were so desperate people clamored for Jerian Grant to start, and before him Toney Douglas, and after that Ntilikina - in all instances, it was the coach that was too blind to see they should be starting. Please.

I miss the profound musings this board used to have about the value of squat racks.

Linsanity was a really unique experience. Literally the entire world for 3 weeks rooted for the Knicks. I remember on WFAN Evan Roberts talking about how an Australian newspaper was about to interview him. The View - the freaking View was talking about the Knicks

I’ve been around for all the 90’s playoff runs and that was great but that month in 2012 was the most surreal experience I’ve ever had as a fan of a team

I am glad I am not the only 1 who felt this way. The Knicks was the easiest conversation starter ever. Just walking the streets people outside everywhere were all talking about the game. You also have to remember how at the time everyone hated ISO Melo and everyone knows how much I hate ISO. The team for those 3 weeks had no talent at all but they played selflessly and for each other. They used player movement, ball movement and PNRs to disrupt the defense. Win or lose all I ever wanted was for the Knicks to "play the right way" and for 3 weeks I got it and a whole lot more. I can only imagine how amazing it must feel to be a Warriors fan. The Warriors play the right way all day everyday and they have had some of the best players in NBA History.

That was my childhood era on that list. Add salty coaches like Kevin Lougghry, Gene Shue and Dick Motta. they did not relate to players of that era. They won or got fired for winning or losing. Pardonme if any of these were racist *******s.

I miss Theo Pinsons contributions to the culture of the team last season. Is Wayne Seldon really more valuable to this team for them to not bring back Pinson as the 15th man ?
