You had a unique haircut. And there was also that time you put Jae Crowder in his place. You'll land on your feet.

Honestly, he always had flashes where I thought he would take the next step. I got nothing against Elf and wish him well. I think a decent team will get a good backup in him.

We have done this thread once or twice before. Elf tried. Then didn't try. Then after the trade talk he had that FU game. Then... Anyway, we all have our faults but honestly he wasn't THAT horrible. I hope he gets another gig as a backup somewhere. I have no ill feelings and wish him well - OAKAAK !!!!!

I think he had a few triple doubles for us. Could be wrong.

Appreciation thread for Elfrid Payton?

I appreciated nothing about him.

Tom Thibs didn't appreciate him either. Which is why he benched him vs. Atlanta and literally refused to play him.

The only thing I appreciate about "Elfrid Payton" is how he's since been replaced by an All-Star PG in KEMBA WALKER!

Yeah, but this time it's really over. There isn't enough cap space to bring him back even if they wanted to.

Eff it! You're right. They'll save it for now.

For the most part, you always know what you're getting when he joins your team.

Look at his stats, beginning with his first season...he has basically been one of the most consistent players in the history of the NBA.

Of note, the sharp assist drop-off (4APG) while playing for Thibs...probably the most significant change in his stats.

I never wanted him, but Perry seemed to like him, so...

Funny thing is, I read recently that the Knicks considered bringing him back.

He had some big games for us.. he also was one of the first to bring it to where we are today. I appreciate him. Time to move on but I mean the vitriol is a bit much

He was part of the formula that got us to the 4th seed. Hopefully he lands in a good situation and finds success.

He has some really great moves for short range shots and was a team player. I think the pressure from the fans got to him, but give him credit, his play was what allowed Rose and IQ to flourish off the bench.
