I know Embid might be hurt, but boy- the Sixers just over rated.

But, if Trae is this good, do we have a shot to get by him? Is this like Ewing with Jordan blocking us at every turn?

I said after they beat us it would Be a Hawks Vs Nets ECF

They are going to have the same problem we had, nobody to match up with Young, dude has 25 in the the first half..

But the Nets will be a different story with Kyrie (even without harden

If they make the ECF they will be back in NY for the Nets. That will get me to root for the Nets.

We are a funny group.

We forget Lebron in the fist half the season was vintage Lebron and likely MVP front runner? Bad ankle and Channing Frye saying he should retire?
If Murray does not go down and Jokic not having to step up and destroy the league all while NOT missing a game perhaps Embiid is the MVP. He likely finishes 2nd or 3r.
Now with him not playing we see one half of a game and Rainman is proclaiming “He told us” as Clarvoyent Nostradamus and we just write off philly to make ourselves feel better? Just Give ATL some credit and perhaps realize Embiid has been that good. Without him they don’t finish top of the east. Few teams that finish top after a regular season and lose their best player, likely an MVP candidate at some level can sustain. But to say “over related”? How do you finish top of your conference and say that?
No doubt we at the 4 was over rated! We got taken out handily by the 5th. If it was a tough series, you go out and say otherwise. We didn’t!

BTW, I don’t like PHilly and ATL impressed me. I’m not really rooting for either but I like coach Mac the youth story in ATL
If Harden can’t come back and nets have one more injury to Kyrie or Durant a League TV nightmare of Utah vs ATL is possible!!

Tre is an nba superstar they’ve got incredible inside play solid defense size all over that can shoot. Team is stacked.

That being said if Julius Randle and rj played like regular season we could beat them

Posted these on the playoff thread- sure is sweet, hopefully the Hawks keep this up and a lot of the heat on these boards will look like a complete over reaction.

That aside, it’ll be frustrating/disappointing if the Bucks and Sixers fold easily in the playoffs again- don’t want the Nets to have an easy run to the finals

I think we could have got to 6 or 7 games if they had, but I think the Hawks would have still beaten us

I’m still hoping the Bucks will save us from that series- I hate it when I want both teams to lose!

Four teams I never root for:

1) Any team Lebron is on.
2) Brooklyn Nets. I rooted for the New Jersey Nets when Kidd led them to the finals twice, but when they put up that billboard outside of MSG, I was done with them.
3) Philly, because I don't want them to lend any credibility to the tankathon crew.
4) Dallas - KP, enough said.

So I guess that means I'm rooting for ATL, Bucks and Clippers.

I like the Jazz, Nuggets and Suns, so I’ll be hoping a west coast team wins this year, but I’ll root for the Bucks over the Nets in the meantime

He's very skilled but also the refs don't allow you to defend him

That is my point. Take out Seth Curry and let George Hill abuse Trey in the post. How freakin' hard is it to figure that out? Doc Rivers, hello!

You do not defend Trey, you exploit him as a defensive liability himself. Making him work harder defensively slows him down by wearing him out, plus puts points on the board for your team.

Easier said than done. I agree, but I think we can also agree that Doc and Thibs will eventually be HOF coaches or close to.

Why have neither tried? Perhaps I’ve missed it. I know I did see RJ defended by Trae and he did nothing -maybe turned it over

Zone defense. C’mon guys, you really think you smarter than those two?

Philly made a hell of a comeback and damn near snatched that game from them. If your going to lose a game its hell of a confidence booster going to the next game.

I said after game 3, the hawks are just more talented.

Clint capella and trae young are really good at basketball and they have a lot of shooters.

I picked them to beat the Sixers in 5

I feel better watching Trae & the Hawks shred Philly
