Doesn’t play tonight while Luka scores at will. Meanwhile Rose shoots 1-10, can’t defend and Elf being Elf

This is why I was against the Rose trade. We already have one Elfrid Payton on the roster

I’m off the Thibs train. Everything that Bulls and Wolves fans said is truth, so there is no hope of it changing. He is who he is and will stubbornly stick to his mediocre guns and ride them out while bringing nothing offensively and not using the bench as the game dictates instead of how he wants it.

Knicks are playing their best defense in decades and I won’t deny him that. But then what is him if not a glorified defensive coach who’s personality will always step in the way of being creative and instinctively during games. And I’m sure the narrative will reach the point that sometime in the future the talk will be about an offensive coordinator. Nah, been there and done that with coaches that lack an aspect. Never works.

So you either sell everything for a star that needs no offensive system or simply go get another coach. That won’t happen and the Knicks won’t bring a huge established star, so I guess we will be the 90’s defensive Knicks in the 20’s where offense reigns.

Stubborn is the knicks word for the season! Before the start of the season Thibs said he will play with the strengths of the individual players.i already gave up on seeing frank play meaningful minutes for the knicks. But what ever happened to working with the strength of your players? Frank might be a below average offensive player at best but he is one of the best defender in this roster. For the past 3 years he was able to lockdown the likes of Steph curry, kyrie, walker, luka in the past. I just can't get why Thibs won't pair frank with IQ and burks in the line up, let frank lockdown the opposing team's best perimeter threat while occasionally trying to hit 3pt shot. Just let DRose take over the starting point and just let frank play. What will Thibs loose? He has already been loosing the games!

Come on Frank stopped trying on offense and stopped making shots. I get that Rose and Payton aren’t anything special but they put pressure on the rim. Frank is just so passive he isn’t playable unless he’s aggressive which he only does once in awhile. He’s the strangest player I think I’ve ever watched in terms of how his offensive effort fluctuates so drastically.

Yeah, because Frank would've single handed shout down Luka and Brunson at the same time and ran the offense like a French Jason Kidd while hitting 3s like Steph Curry. Why Thibs can't see this is the world greatest mystery.

Answer: He showed him how he plays.

Brah. You make every thread, loss, win about Frankie? Do you have a warehouse full of Frank Jerseys or something? You put down every PG we have ever had and probably hope they all get traded or hurt to give your boy yet another shot. Here is the thing, if a guy constantly needs other guys on the roster to get hurt/traded in order to get a shot then he must not be very good! Not to mention the chatter about a coach not giving him a shot. Frank has had several coaches who felt the same way. He has had like a hundred chances. So this "Let's give Frank a shot" is now just plain homer city. It's getting old man. Rose has a bad game after many good ones and now it's let's get rid of him for Frank? Why? Can you point to one viable stat supporting that in the last 4 years? Oh wait there was than one game every two months against that guy. Frank still looks like a dear in the headlights after 4 years. Literally and figuratively. Just move on man. We have 12 other nice guys you can root for. They make shots. Have attributed greatly to our wins. And actually look like NBA players when they are out there.

Even if you think he's ass, he's done well defending Luka in the past. It wouldn't hurt to give him a few minutes to see what happens.

LOL! Ok, lets play a game called "fun with stats:"

The Knicks are 4-1 in games that Theo Pinson plays between 1:30 - 1:52 minutes.
The Knicks are 5-2 in games where Noel has two or more assists.
The Knicks are 5-1 in games that Obi plays between 14-19 minutes.
The Knicks are 6-0 when Alec Burks attempts 2 or less three pointers.
The Knicks are 5-2 when Frank plays less than 13 minutes.

So I'm assuming you believe there's cause and effect in all of these stats, correct?

Seeing the glass as half full. If we make the playoffs, Frank will be rested, wont have to worry about him limping into the playoffs. Im guessing Thibs would give Frank minutes here and there for his D.

In the meantime, Frank cant take quarters off.

Coaches usually shrink the rotation in the playoffs, they don't expand it. Unless a couple of players are injured, Frank aint seeing the court in the playoffs.

Cut it out .. coach Horn was the only coach that gave Frank a shot, having 4 PG on the Knicks roster.
After Frank rookie season during the offsason he fired Leon Rose as his agent. Which caused a lot of problems for Frank in the court system and the Knicks FO

I am curious WHY Thibs/Woodson/Payton has not put Franks-defense and Quickley's quick-scoring in a lineup alongside Gibson-defense and Obi Toppin's creative-scoring in any of our 50 games ???

Thibs won his first Knicks game when he gave Frank 10 straight minute of playing time in the first half of the game.

I know Rose played way better tonight (he was matched up against scrubs DSJ and Ellington) but he was beyond God-awful 1 of 10 shooting in the Mavericks game. Payton has been really bad since coming back from the injury
