![]() Forget about that Chicago thing...I guess I can find it in my heart to forgive him
![]() Always... always remember: Less is less. More is more. More is better and twice as much is good too. Not enough is bad, and too much is never enough except when it's just about right.

Knicks of that era were mentally scarred by MJ after losing to him in the clutch so much.... The year that I was most confident we would beat them was in 1997....we were primed that yr then the brawl with MIA killed that.... |

![]() Fittingly enough, today is also John Starks day because it is February 18th.

![]() Greatest moment in Starks' life, and one of the greatest in NYK history (imo). Starks was the heart and soul of that Ewing team. Almost named my second son "Starks".

We played them tough during the season not sure if we split the series or was 3-1....there is no doubt in my mind that we would have beat him...we were the only team that had historically faced MJ....maybe outside of the Pacers...we were due....I go to the grave believing that...I think one of the NY beat writers wrote something several years ago saying the same thing... |

![]() Will never forget this moment as I was watching this game live in a Miami sports bar (in a booth with a bunch of friends - all Bulls fans)... when Starks rose up and dunked - I got so excited I kicked my leg out in reaction which hit my friends shin... he reacted by flailing his elbow/arm up which hit the waitress (behind him) drink tray which spilled about 8 beers on his head. We got tossed even though we paid for the beers!

Older team???...We had Houston..LJ before his back went out..and Childs....Chicago was the older team... I know reg season record against a team may or may not mean much but I believe that year was different if not for BS with Miami which we were trouncing before PJ Tucker changed the series...we where on our way... |

GO TEAM VENTURE!!!!!

LJ was not completely not completely cooked..but I see your point...Houston would not hang with Jordan but between him and Starks they could give MJ a match compared to Jeff Horneck in the finals...the 93 playoffs bothered me as well.....Charles Smith man...when I youtube that play I still get mad. After C. Smith retired I believe he had an office down the street from NYSE because I used to see him time to time....one day I almost said something to him about that play as my coworker made a bet for me to say something to him about that play when we saw him at lunch...I missed out on $20 bucks that day... |
