If Payton isn’t playing well then his mins need to be gutted for quicks. I’d rather watch quicks hoist bad long 3s or those weird floaters of his then watch Payton brick.

“We” can’t cut him.
But the team has to first find a few guys that play better than him. either they on the roster or figure a trade that won’t cost too much.

The pattern is that the coaches try 14 players in the backcourt for the first twenty games before realizing that Ntilikina is actually the best option.

Appreciate Payton for his contributions but time to get another shooter in starting lineup.
Hopefully know can be that shooter, so I would substitute Knox for Payton and Quickly for Rivers.
Like Rivers as that 6th man spark off the bench.

Pg: Quickly,Payton/Ntlikina
Sg: Barrett, Rivers
Sf: Knox, Bullock/Burks
Pf: Randle, Toppin

I thin Emmanuel Mudiay is still available.

Payton has had some nice games and spurts of play. As a starter, he is exposed for what he is- a third string pg.

I don’t understand what Thibs is doing with his tight rotation. We’re losing with Payton we can lose with Frank or DSjr.

Help?

Elf played for 8mil last year. We did not renew. Instead we resigned him for half and he still starts.

The problem is Peyton can't shoot and almost will always turndown at least 5 wide open 3's per game, he doesn't push the pace, and doesn't solve the spacing problem, and if your not going to shoot 3's at least be 55% from everywhere else.

Frank doesn't solve any of our problems at pg, this is the 5th coach that told you this.

What happen to Harper, is he just a practice squad signing
