Not mad at this signing....He actually played well, when I saw him, in a reduced role in Houston. Always felt like he's better than what he has shown thus far but haven't paid a ton of attention to him. At least he shoots league average from 3. We a glut of guards now. Can we take back that offer to Efrid

I think the Knicks have loaded up on players cause of the condensed season and for future trades. We shall see how it goes

Feels like there is a trade coming. With a full roster and only 5 PF/C players, they should be making some sort of move. Pretty light at SF also.

Payton is the best passer at the point but the major problem with him is his broken jumper. Payton, RJ and Randle on the floor at the same is a spacing nightmare. Plus, Payton pounds the air out of the ball. Rivers is the only pg (combo guard) on the roster that has proven he can hit the 3 at a consistent clip and would at the very least provide some spacing for RJ to slash and play bully ball. New coaching staff means none of these guys have an advantage.

If it were up to me, I would have just rolled with DSJ and Frank and would have used this year to evaluate as both are at the end of their rookie deals. This is yet another front office that doesn't seem to trust or believe that DSJ and or Frank can handle starting pg duties. Lets see who emerges victorious in training camp.

Payton shot 20% from 3 last year. Good point about the Frank leak, almost forgot about that. If the plan is to move either one, it might be a good idea to build up their stock by letting them play and maybe move one at the deadline....

Careerwise he's had some big scoring games. Missed a lot of early games due to injury last season. We'll see if Payton stays healthy.

Whoever is left when the season starts. With these recent additions in the backcourt, as well as Quickley. There should be a decent competition for minutes. A well coached team with this roster, should at least sniff the playoffs.

Nice move for the knicks. Honestly these moves have been fine besides Payton. Rivers, Burks and Bullock are 3 players who can all shoot and defend hard and fit nicely next to RJ, Obi and Mitch. The fit is better than last years players

C Robinson
PF Toppin
SF Barrett
SG Bullock or Burks
PG Rivers

If they view Rivers as a PG and let RJ run the offense more then I can get behind this but we need to move Randle ASAP. I like the improvement in shooting, playmaking and defense with this lineup. These players actually compliment the core group.
