Hes done for this season. But he'll be back to his normal self. It won't be easy. I had to deal with this injury on both legs.

Probably my favorite player not on the Knicks. I hope he recovers fully and comes back how he was. He’s still young.

Goddamm. Don't tell me both legs at the same time?

Real shame- as much as I hate the Warriors, I was looking forward to seeing some battles out West. Not sure how Warriors proceed from this, though I wouldn't be surprised if they got 'lucky' in next years draft with either the Twolves or their own pick. That Warriors team is down to essentially just aging Steph Curry and declining Green, plus Wiggins and Wiseman. Yikes! Owner has okayed them using the $17mil trade exemption, so I wonder who they land?

Looks like GS is picking up Kelly Oubre with the Iggy exception money. Which is a fair move. He's not Klay but he can fill in defensively for Klay.

I suspect Klay will be lucky to make it back to starter level for any extended time. I'd guess he's more likely to end up a kind of over-paid Livingston, a very solid 20 minutes a game guy, mostly off the bench. Serious damage to both legs plus losing, what?, almost three years of play is going to set him back. Maybe he has a solid career ahead of him but . . . I don't think he's going to be the best defender on a championship team dropping 20+ points a night.

Warriors just signed Klay to a max 5 year deal. Good luck trying to dump that contract unless Isiah becomes the Knicks GM again in 2 years

I doubt they try trading him.

Yep. Only hope is that there is another amnesty in the next labor deal. Wonder if they'd be interested in Randle? I'd do that trade even if I found out Klay lost an entire foot.

Randle is exactly the opposite type of player they want/need on their team. Sticky with ball, zero defense as a big, not a spacer

What if the only thing the Knicks asked in return is a horse that does horse things and a a footless Klay?

Thats rough. Wonder if Klay is considering retirement? Considering all he's achieved, his age, GS's window. Dont believe anyone would fault him. 2 years of rehab is rough.

Goes to show how tough the NBA is to win. GSW window slammed shut. Had 7 year run, 2013-2019. Jordan had a nice 18mo layover to get his legs back.
Jordan is the goat with two three year repeats. He never lost a finals in 6 appearances. Lebron has been to 10.
This is not a Jordan vs. Lebron thing. I’m bringing it up because GSW like many teams AND PLAYERS after a few 100 game seasons with playoffs come undone. Boston with bird had a 4 year run, Lakers show time, and Shaq was never the same after 2005.
GSW got three chips in the era. Not shabby.

Yeah, sadly, I'd guess Klay's upside at this point is Livingston-level play. Which is good! But, not at Klay's salary. And, yeah, this hurts GS badly. Very, very few players are as efficient as Thompson and there's really no one that GS can count on to take Klay's spot. You can find player--like Oubre!--who can handle some of Klay's job but who are you going to find who can score more points than they dribble the ball? No one.
