Plus:

I'm guessing Giannis has agreed to sign the max deal or they wouldn't have signed off on these. In which case, what do Toronto and Miami do now? Their plans were centred around landing him. Presume this means Raptors keep VanVleet now.

NO and OKC have so many firsts now, it's ridiculous- both teams can outbid us on anything, so there goes that avenue for us.

Wonder if NO trade up to 1st in this draft and draft LaMelo?

Sets the price for Harden- no way Rockets should entertain any deal that doesn't involve 3 firsts plus 2 pick swaps (they pretty much gave up that for Westbrook!)

Again this is why we need to keep acquiring picks. Teams are so poorly run that they panic snd make trades with the fear of losing their star players for draft capital. Three first round picks for a guy in the last year of his deal that’s not a top 20 player.

They also got Bogey from Kings which gives them four very solid players. They need one more guy to fill out their bench, but have to assume they are going to lock Giannis in. Holiday and Bogey can really play and both can get their own shot.

MIlwaukee has to do this.
But......Let’s say the window is two years to win. After that Giannis is still under 30 and they can recoup by making a deal.
Rockets have this potential if they divert with harden and Westbrook and don’t get greedy.
Its like Electro Dam. Use excess power to pump water back up damn so you sort of reuse the asset. Might lose some of course but if team can develope talent it can gain assets that easy longer term.
The reverse is what got us in trouble.
This is what Miami does ever few years. Ainge is doing this. Sometimes bad shyt happens and it takes longer. Ask Hinkie. Ask a knick fan.
I get Knicks need a Westbrook to keep fan interest but there is a price.
Knicks have been unlucky, impatient, and sometimes dumb. No one finger can point to a single person and lay blame. There is a lot to go around over 20 years.

Milwaukee just mortgaged everything for this group. They have no more picks for many years or young prospects really. Obviously Giannis is a generational talent so that's the price you pay to keep him happy, but they put all their chips in and then some for this core of Giannis, Middleton, Holiday, and Bogdanovich. It looks good but let's see how things come together for them. They will still have to resign Holiday too.

Milwaukee was the best team in the league record-wise for the last 2 years and they upgraded, and now they have a playoff contending team. They had to mortgage and it's the smart play.

Got to shore up depth on bench but they'll nab a few vets who want a shot at a finals baring Harden to Brooklyn.

marginal upgrade on talent IMO. Bledsoe was no slouch on D, and both he and Hill could shoot.

Biggest issue to me i don't think this gives them a new wrinkle or second #1 option that seems so important deeper in the playoffs. I'm higher on Denver. When the balls in Joker's or Murray's hands i expect good things -- maybe Porter too.

Sorry but this is also a bad deal. Jrue Holiday isn't that much better than Bledsoe.

It sets a high bar. If that's what Holiday is worth, the Nets are going to have to fork over a lot for Harden.

Also...Would it be too crazy to target Bledsoe in a trade? He's crap in the playoffs but pretty good player in regular season on a really good contract. Pelicans got Bledsoe, Hill, and Lonzo now so surely one has to go? All of them would be an upgrade imo its just a matter of costs

I’d rather have Lonzo even though I hate his overall offensive game as of now.

Those Buck picks are likely to be very low in the first round. Obviously they're still assets and who know that may happen to the Bucks down the road. Giannis leaves and suddenly Bucks stink and NO has their picks. Just not sure Jrue was worth it, but they probably had to show Giannis they're trying to upgrade the roster.

Depends on what you'd have to give up. Not a huge fan of Bledsoe but if you can get him on the cheap and not give up any first round picks, why not?

One unprotected pick and, at most a pick swap, should've done it. I'm a fan of Holiday, but you could make the case that's he won't be a top 10 PG in the league next season. Seemed like a reach.
