He went from underrated to overrated- Don't think we're the right fit for him. He's best suited for a contending team at this point.

It depends on what we have to give up. If they would take Knox, DSJr, and The Clippers pick and our second round pick, then I would do it. Anything more than that and I would pass. He is only a so so shooter, so I don’t think he is the best fit next to RJ. He would definitely be an improvement and is probably better than VanFleet as an overall player, but VanFleet is probably a better fit for what we need.

Its funny.. whenever there's a trade proposal, Knox, Randle and DSJ are the only names that knick homers are willing to toss in almost every trade.

Your bascially saying take our struggling low value players, and give us your best players + draft picks for taking back some salary, and we'll throw in a 2nd rnd pick...

Randle is 100% not low-value. That’s why you trade now. Not everyone is so quick to give up on Knox. I am one of them. I agree that selling DSJ while his value is low is not always the smart move but if you can get something back then gangbusters.

Forgot about that. Makes a trade that much more unlikely. Best case scenario is that we act as a salary shelter in a three-way trade. Maybe the Clips get involved and we find a way to reel in Landry Shamet.

I honestly don't know what N.O is looking for. Odds are they would want to add a stud next to Zion-Ingram-Ball trio. They could also attempt to go nuts and look to package Holiday with the #13 for an upgrade. Our best shot imo would be if say Wiseman was to fall to #8 which many mock drafts have been having happen. Then using Wiseman & Knox for #13 & Holiday. They would probably look for a swap of #27 for #38 as well.

I don't see the Lakers being able to offer anything OKC would need. Maybe the Clippers, but I have little knowledge of their cap situation. I just know that they'll be limited in what they can do with their picks for the time being. Would Brooklyn be willing to give Dinwiddie and picks? Would OKC even want Dinwiddie? We have to be OKC's first choice, assuming no other suitors jump into the fray. That means the Knicks front office has some rope and it doesn't have to be pressured into whatever deal OKC has on the table.

There is a lot to like about Jrue Holiday or Buddy Hield. Scoring ability, shooting, passing, the stats are excellent. And they fit our development curve, i.e. in their prime or about to enter it. The big issue for me is that despite their excellence, their teams never win, and that is with some great or decent players on their teams (AD, Zion, Fox), so there is real risk that they will not make much impact in NY either, just pad the box score.

For a package of Randle plus Ntilikina/DSJr plus maybe the 27th pick, well, why not, at worst it would be a lateral move with some upside built in. But not something to mortgage our future on.

Because it’s a no brainer. Everyone focuses on the money ($80 million) but it’s the years(2) that is what is really important. Realistically knicks could get Paul for just Randle and Knox

There is very little chance that he's the same positive player as he was last year with the Knicks(not the same supporting cast, probable injury). We can't pay for what was but for what may be. The fact is that Paul is 35 and owed 80 millions for 2 years with little chance to be the same player. OKC should compensate the team willing to take him, not the other way around.

Yeah, I kind of agree that Randle is NOT low value around the league. Other teams still see 20ppg/10rpg/3apg, can handle the ball a little and hit some 3s. (I guess the vision of him dribbling into traffic and coughing up the ball in the clutch is etched in our brains that we can't see his production holistically)

Some fans want flawless players, some fans still don't realize we are not a popular destination so regardless of cap space, your not getting Gannis.

Jru is a solid player, but he doesn't have the leadership skills CP has.
