is he supposed to drop? I thought he was one of the clear top 3/4 picks in this draft.

I would assume Knicks front office would game plan this type of scenario.

I'd do it if you have a trade lined up.

Mitch posted several videos doing the same thing. How well do you expect that to translate in actual games?

7-1, 250 dunking on a guy who is 50 lbs lighter and 8 inches shorter and Wiseman needs to scream about that and look him down?

Love the scream— that shows intensity.

I haven’t seen to many 7-1 250 pound guys take smaller guys off the dribble from halfcourt. Just shows exceptional potential. He’s not just a lob threat— he’s a three level scorer who can be dominant on the d

yes, I say of course draft him. he is a legitimate top 5 pick. we need so much talent infused into the organization that it would be foolish to draft on positional need exclusively. I am not going to pass on Wiseman just because we have Chandler

look I like Wiseman but this is a misrepresentation. Wiseman is not who you want to create offense for your team on the outside. Wiseman and Randle leading the charge from the outside sounds like the ninth circle of hell

Did you love that he needed that YMCA third step to make it to the rim?

Can you post some vid of him hitting threes in his driveway?

If he falls past 3rd overall/Charlotte, Wiseman could free fall.

If there's a team you can count on to do something stupid, it would be one run by Michael Jordan. One of the major problems with Jordan is he values players based on the way the game was played in his era, and he likes guys who could complement his game in his era. Yes, his ego is that big. For a time, Rich Cho was seen as the toughest front office guy in the league. He managed to survive tenure with both Paul Allen and His Airness.

Wiseman only gets interesting if he falls all the way down to the Spurs, which is sort of hazy to see at this point.

Charlotte could flip positions with Golden State which would be both a smart and stupid decision on their part. Smart because LaMelo Ball is the better value. Stupid because LaMelo Ball is the better value to the type of team Jordan doesn't build.

Wiseman would be "value for slot" at 8th overall. To explain that, think of a car dealership. What's the value of that new car as soon as you drive it off the lot? That's Wiseman. He's only a sexy pick in the framework of his relative value against the other players in his class. Once you pit him against the real NBA jungle, you start to see the cannon fodder risk in him. "Value For Slot" and "Best Player Available" are different concepts, sometimes they overlap, most of the time they just don't in the NBA.

TL/DR - If Wiseman is there at 8th, pass on him. His value depreciates once draft night is over.

Jordan wasn't 7'1". And Jordan wouldn't need 3 steps against YMCA competition.

Pippen always took 3 steps.

I was too busy thinking how that screaming made him kind of look like an A-hole.

Hahaha. Ewing always took 3. Except for when he did a drop step and took 4. It's all good.

In all seriousness, how about Mitch watches some Patrick Ewing tape? Or Hakeem.
Also, is Hakeem still only allowed to mentor Rockets players? Didn't they give up ALL of their big men at this point? Time for him to step out of his contract with them while D'Antoni is on board as head coach.
