I wouldn’t cry if we got LaMelo but putting your chips on two guys who don’t shoot it deep well at 1-2 even though both are skill players is not my recipe.

Not giving anyone massive assets to move up

I agree with this guy 100%. If get pick 3-6, we should look to trade up and offer Knox, the clippers pick and Dallas pick next year. Ball would give us one of the most dynamic backcourts in the league, and I think concerns about his shooting are overblown. He will be a better shooter than Lonzo.

We can easily be outbid by the Twolves or Bulls, so I don't think trading up for Ball is likely

Don't want that spoiled brat kid and his drama father near the knicks go to a small market team like his brother did. The ball brothers can't handle big markets and media they get to distracted .

Thats actually not so bad IF you really want Lemelo at the 1st or 2nd pick. I have no idea if his draft posltion is a media fabrication as there is really no buzz about him or really anyone.
For that matter is DSjr even viable anymore? Is he even as good as Mudiay?

Exactly how I feel. I am relatively indifferent between all players 1-7 and 8-16. Would happily trade the 1 and 27 for 5 and 16 picks.

I dont think i will like to trade up for LaMelo, yes he is a wizard with the ball but his shooting scares me off. We cant surround RJ with non-shooters. We already have a specialized player who can't shoot in this team atleast not consistently, which i dont want to give up on. A roster with an excellent passer in Ball and an excellent defender in Frank both have questionable shooting. The only PG i would consider taking with our first pick is Hayes or Haliburton. I would rather look at Deni Avdija, Okoro or Obi Toppin if we stay at 6. I feel with a not particularly strong draft this year, the draft positioning for our own first rounder is not that critical, you can basically get the same impact player in the top 10 if you draft wisely. I know Wiseman can stand out but i dont know about the fit.

If the Knicks draft Ball it will be a typical Dolan era move.. LaMelo Ball is over-rated - can’t shoot & doesn’t play D.. but bc he was a social media star; idiot Dolan will think he will make the Knicks more popular as opposed to making them a winning team. This draft is very important and if we screw it up by drafting LaMelo will continue to live in the sewer...

Agreed. If you desperately want Melo, that’s a fair enough package. The problem is that if you aren’t sold on him, like a lot of us, then it’s way too much. I personally would just rather stay away so anything is too much.

We need a shooter, shot creator, and lock down defender..he possesses none of those traits..do not need someone to promote the “Baller” brand.
